What do you like about them? They've got a good midfield and not much else.
Yeah it is - I could've thrown a couple in there. (giants, cats, blues).

That midfield is insanely good. Forward line is ok not as bad as peeps think, were top 2 last season.

I think losing Houston is big of course.

Re forward line - Will depend on how Marshall, Lord and Lukosius blend together. Rioli and Georgiades are good players.

Defence - yeah its not the world's best but I mean it's not bad.

I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped off but I look at JHF, Butters, Rozee and druel.

We had a blessed run with injuries in 24.

I think we are a 6-10 side at this point.

But agree we should be aiming for top 4 every season it's the place to be.

You would think that, but our (your) track record of predicting what scorlibo will say is, well, better left unsaid.

    And that's the kicker right?

I think too much of the media stuff (and supporter stuff) has been based on one terrible game...but I don't actually think that was this group in any way...

Let's see. I can't get away from having such high rankings for attack and defense and not really losing any 'core' players. And I'm pretty sure I'm on record saying we should be keeping Daniel and Macrae...but I get that we didn't - and they weren't exactly top 10 selections any more.

I AM worried about Liber's concussions, Treloar's age and Jamarra's propensity to be putrid (and Weightman's inability to get a kick after quarter time) but I mean, we have Bont and Darcy - like, holy hell...oppo teams will need to seriously game-plan for us because those two simply cannot be handled one-v-one...

I get the top 4 lol's as despite making 2x GF's Bevo has never done it but I also don't think he's ever had a group like this.

Totally agree that aiming for top four is the goal, but it’s important to stay grounded about the factors outside our control—injuries, surprises in form, and how the fixture plays out. It’s such a long season, and so much can change.
The wings and flanks are a big concern for me too. That’s an area where consistency could make or break us. If we can find a way to get solid performances there, it might not just boost our chances but also give us a more well-rounded edge overall. Here’s hoping we see some positive surprises in those areas as the season unfolds!

We should be aiming for top four, but at the same time not losing our minds if we don't get there. So much has to go right with injuries and the fixture (the bits we do know about, plus the bits we don't - like who's going to rise, who's going to fall).

The wings and flanks really worry me. If we can somehow get good consistent and impactful performances there then we should be well placed.

    Bah, you're all nuts.

However I do want to see Brew and Beveridge together so there's that.

I think we should be thinking top 4/win the flag and we actually need some 'soldiers'. If Libba is out for an extended period then we need help...otherwise it's all Bont and Treloar and they are not 23 years old any more...

See if it works. He's training for a spot over summer - why not see if he can do it (and it's not like he's going to get paid a fortune).

I honestly don't see how it hurts...worst case it's another inside mid for Sanders to hone his craft against at training - I'm sure he's got some tricks to win stoppages based on his numbers - so...

We picked up some kids for tomorrow - where we are at right now means we need some players for now.
