Yes, its good steak. There is also one on King St.

But I find the atmoshpere a bit stale and I think its a tad pricey. I'd stick with the joint in Port Melbourne or The Station Hotel in Footscray.

Cheers. I don't suppose the atmosphere will be all that flash on a Monday night in January either!

Howler's awesome; great beer, but even better design and the sound system is incredible if you manage to catch a show there.

Whoa, blast from the past. I ate there plenty when my partner was 8+ months pregnant. Delivery FTW!

              I miss that place.

Not recently. A few years back. Food is ok, but it was packed and hard to move around. I haven't been back since and probably won't!

Haven't been here in a while but what do you guys think of Romano's Pizza Bistro on Upper Heidelberg Road in Ivanhoe. I think the last I went I remember the service was very poor and I waited for an hour until the food came not sure what it's like now, maybe it has improved.

I've just made the move from Seddon > Berwick.

One side of the Country to the other pretty much.

Besides Dandenong Pavilion which is pretty good, can anyone recommend places for a good meal out in the South East?

Shanikas (Italian) is meant to be pretty good. I think the original is in Berwick, but I've only been to the Pakenham restaurant.

Bought a house with my partner who has lived out there. I've spent a couple years worth of weekends there, so its pretty comfortable.

Seddon was great but well out of our budget.

Plenty of places for a local night out and breakfast options..but I don't know the rest of the south east very well.

I think from my childhood I remember the original one being in Mt Waverley. It's been around for ages.

For anyone who is a fan of the show, the Iron Chef's are coming to Melbourne. I have to admit I love the show, we'll often have it playing in the background while cooking dinner on a weekend. Although the North American dubbing probably adds to the value.

I'm hoping to get a table for myself and the Mrs.
