If you've got a special occasion, Attica is worth every penny.

I drive past it every day on the way to work. Isn't the waiting list a mile long?

In the last few months I've been to Cecconi's and PM24. Both presented really nice food, though at each the service was a touch erratic. In parts very good, in other parts very ordinary.

I find for the most part hitting up these places mid-week is the way to go. There's less of a "scene" and the staff seem more attentive.
              TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

I think I booked in May for early November. But they have just changed the booking system to be no longer than 3 months from any given day. I prefer other places mid week much like you, but Attica is smaller than I thought, but that's a part of the experience.

Pretty much all of Gertrude Street is something now, Trippy Taco is still awesome but the health food shop that just opened (Aunty Maggie's? I think) does great soup for $6, all gf and vf and everything f so you know it's good for you.

Good coffee across the road too if you're one for pretention (like I am)

Red Spice Road at QV and MacKillop St goes alright. Banquet lunch is really impressive. Pork belly an Kong Po chicken the standouts.

Had a cheese burger at the Station Hotel last night, it was brilliant.
