Haven't been back there in a while but if you love your Greek food Pireaus Blues in Fitzroy is a recommendation. I think I might of mentioned this place before in this thread I just realised.

Went to Gill's Diner on Little Collins last night. If you feel like a nice meal in the city, I recommend giving it a shot.

The food (French, Italian and Middle Eastern inspired) was of exceptional quality, the wine by the glass selections were original (the broader wine list was pretty good too) and the service was excellent.

Entree range from $17-23 (I think) and mains from late $20's to $40. I had a brisket and rump main, both components were really good with the rump being the standout (haven't had that cut so tender and flavoursome).
      TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

I'm looking for somewhere to have our anniversary dinner, close to The Windsor. Can anyone recommend a good restaurant? Doesn't have to be super fancy, just good food at a reasonable price. Thanks!

Went to Rice Queen on Brunswick St last night, really cool contemporary Asian restaurant, serves everything from traditional Sri Lankan curries to modern Chinese. They do cocktails as well (with varying success) and is pretty well priced (15-20$ mains)

Try Cumulus Inc at 45 Flinders Lane (http://cumulusinc.com.au/) you deserve it.

I spent a couple of weeks down in Anglesea over Christmas/New year. Not much to recommend there but certainly recommend A La Grecque in Aireys Inlet. Great Food, modern Australian/Greek and run by Kosta Talimanidis who has been in the area for over 20 years. ( use to run Kostas in Lorne and brother Chris runs a restaurant at Beacon Point near Apollo Bay, with accommodation overlooking the city perched on a cliff top)

I really liked http://www.terrarossarb.com.au/ when I went there.

Comfortable decore, good food and wine list.

Ezards is nice and has a couple of chefs hats. Not too far from the Windsor.

Yes, that would also be a great anniversary dinner place.
