There aren't many great houses left standing to call upon.

Of those that weren't at Winterfell, I can only think of House Glover (they now owe the Starks big-time after poking out in the battle) and House Tully (Ensure owes Jaime his life, and the Starks are family).

The thing I loved was that all the main deaths were done magnificently. Everyone who went down, went down swinging.

I thought it would be Jon or even Dany on the dragon.

This should have been a clue

            3 Votes. A Stark.

BOG by a mile last night. It took about a quarter for her to get involved but her impact when the game was there to be won was superb.

She did go missing a bit during the Premiership quarter (under the blood rule) but when she came back on in the last, she turned the game on its head, and quite possibly the season.

Definite favourite for the Rising Star at this stage.

Wow. What a ride. That was amazing.

So many highlights. How are the 20 odd people left in Winterfell going to fight Cersei?

True that. After many seasons, the last few going through hell, I was really happy that Theon Greyjoy got his redemption and was critical to the ending of the Great War.

If there were dragons then we are talking Henry Tudor (Henry VII, father of Henry VIII). He was Welsh by descent so his heraldry was was mainly associated with dragons
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

House Glover owes the Starks now. If Lord Glover doesn't join this fight Jon would be forgiven for taking Rhaegal and burning Deepwood Motte to the ground.

House Tully still stands as well. Edmure and the Starks are family, and with the Frey's gone, Edmure would be Lord of Riverrun again.

Yara will rally as many Ironborn as she can.

There may be some other Southern houses that will rally against Cersei once they know that she betrayed the Starks.

Could Daario bring an army of volunteers from Meereen, ready to fight for the Breaker of Chains?

As soon as Bran said 'You're a good man. Thank you', you knew exactly what was coming.

No more running, no more Reek, no more hiding. He stood and fought. He knew he wouldn't win but he fought anyway.

Jorah. Just, Jorah. Kept getting back on his feet. Lived long enough to look into the eyes of the woman he loved one last time.

Little Lyanna Mormont. My god, has there ever been a more bad-ass 12 year old girl in TV history?

The deaths were just so well done like you say. Lyanna, the smallest on the killing fields took out the biggest. Bad-ass in deed.

Melisandre after so many interventions in the battle, after doing what she needed to do to help win, then walking out into the dark and snow to die after winning was something I didn't see coming. But was another perfect way to end the character.

I was expecting, with so many characters in the gun to die, that they get a few wrong. But I can't fault screen writers so far.

I didn't like that episode as much as I thought I would. It was so dark, difficult to see what was happening. Beyond creating a distressing vibe, paralleling the experience of the soldiers. Just made it hard to follow.

Still, I was out of my seat a few times and gripped enough to acknowledge it was still good.

Jorah and Lyanna Mormont. Awesome resilience on display. House Mormont. Here We Stood.
Arya, good on both sides of her body! Bevo would be happy.

Thought Tyrian and Sansa were making a joint suicide pact for a brief moment. That was grim.

Did you watch it on Foxtel? I have heard this from a number of Foxtel viers. The trouble is Foxtel's broadcast is crap.

Foxtel's compression doesn't leave much colour range in the low ends. So this is really bad when it's a dark image. They simply can't reproduce the detail.

Interesting I started on Foxtel, had the exact same issue although I figured the dark was for dynamics when the fire came however switched to another "source" and it was say 10% better. Dark doesn't usually need to be compressed out but I get what you're saying .
