      Lol.

I read someone saying on the internet that they had the chains with them because they know they'll need to pull the wall down.

At first I thought it was a stupid comment, but then I was willing to accept it.

Look. I try not to pick holes in fictional stories, kind of spoils it and I just want to enjoy it. One thing I mentioned while discussing it at work not all the scenes are real time. For all we know they pulled the dragon out weeks later.

It amazes me the analysis of the show. If you go to youtube its mind boggling what people find or predict .

Sure, that's your opinion. I disagree, but that's cool.

When there's dragons, people being brought back to life, armies of the dead, wargs etc etc - I tend to just let it all happen and enjoy it also!

Not that worried about where they get chains from and how long it takes dragons to fly from places!

But I do find myself wondering - 'how do the ravens know where to fly to and who to find!?"

I want to stand and applaud that man and that speech.

The one that has really got me has been the chains talk. How is that suddenly inconceivable that they may have come across chains previously??!??!!

                        From where?

They're north of the wall. All that's up there is snow and wildlings, and wildlings live in roaming communities (as Tormund explicitly stated).

I'm not against the notion that let's say they forged them themselves, but I can't believe they "came across them".

Anyway we've all got differing opinions so there's no point going on about it - except to say that you're clearly wrong .

                          It's ok.

I reiterate my point that my annoyance is not with "dragons and magic etc" it's that there are some things that the show writers have set as laws -travel takes time - buiding things takes time, but now that doesn't seem to matter.

If you create a reality, you should stick to it.

                          Game of Thrones. Serious business.

Didnt they already use chains when attacking the wall?

Thats the problem right there. The show has now gone on it's own now that it's ahead of the books. With that becomes inconsistencies and poor writing at times. It's a shame really. I'm just forcing myself not to question these things and focus on the main plot points which George has revealed to the writers.

The wildlings attacked the wall. I can't remember if there were or weren't any chains but perhaps the white walkers were able to steal them from some previous battle.

As i said in my previous post, you will enjoy the show a lot more if you don't question these things. Because the show is now ahead of the books there is nowhere near as much thought put into the writing. The more the show has deviated from the books, the worse it has become in my opinion. It's still a great show and the major plot points will be the same, but focusing on the detail might leave you disappointed.
