For contrast Frank Zappa's music is elevated if you have spent 50 years listeni g to him.
"Uncle Meat" released in 60s is his seminal work.
Also listen to "Peaches en Regalia" to glimpse his genius. Frank was composer and orchestra leader.

I saw Julian Bream perform solo in Adelaide 40+ years ago. He was past his prime but still very good. Have you listened to any Baden Powell, Brazilian guitarist who was influenced by Spanish guitar? Heard about him only recently & like the compositions and playing I?ve heard on YouTube. His most famous one is canto de ossanha which I think he co wrote with Vinicius de Moraes. There also a lovely version of Powell?s song Consolocao by Roshina de Valenca (the tambourine player - like wow):
