Re: What are you watching at the moment
I've been living under a rock. Did you know Curb doesn't have a script each episode? They have a 7 page document on what they'd like to move the storyline through the episode recording, but not scripts for actors. All improv, which is why they use their real first name and seem very real in their dialogue.Rocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023Comment

Ordinarily yes. But they have a character to play over the 8 seasons, and that characters behaviour is improvised and they have a story line to keep within. Perhaps it is its own genre maybe?Rocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023Comment

Re: What are you watching at the moment
Improvised isn't the right word. The dialog may not be scripted but there is still essentially a script that says what has to happen in every screen, just not the exact words that needs to be used. These are apparently pretty detailed and take quite a lot of time to write (not sure if BT's 7 page document statement is accurate or not)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]Comment

Re: What are you watching at the moment
Just finished watching the Netflix produced Bloodlines. Ben Mendelsohn was fantastic and no wonder he received a nomination for best supporting actor.
great show and I highly recommend it, there are 13 episodes.FFC: Established 1883

Re: What are you watching at the moment
I'm sick of the rubbish that's on Fox Footy so I'm watching the replay of last year's VFL grand final. Box Hill has all the momentum in the 3rd quarter but I suspect Jones and Dickson have something left to give from hereWestern Bulldogs: We exist to win premiershipsComment

I watched the highlights on Als Highlights the other day. It's a three minute production interweaving crowd and atmos shots with highlights of the game. It's not bad. They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment
