My wife has enjoyed it from the start although she is a Seinfeld freak too like myself

I've been living under a rock. Did you know Curb doesn't have a script each episode? They have a 7 page document on what they'd like to move the storyline through the episode recording, but not scripts for actors. All improv, which is why they use their real first name and seem very real in their dialogue.

And Larry didn't want Ceryl Hines (who played his wife) to see those so she could be surprised by what he said. (I think that stopped after the 2nd or 3rd season

I wish. I think like him but don't have the cahunas to say things out loud like LD.

Is imporovising acting though? It's great art, I can see that but isn't acting almost the opposite to what they do in CYE?
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Ordinarily yes. But they have a character to play over the 8 seasons, and that characters behaviour is improvised and they have a story line to keep within. Perhaps it is its own genre maybe?

Improvised isn't the right word. The dialog may not be scripted but there is still essentially a script that says what has to happen in every screen, just not the exact words that needs to be used. These are apparently pretty detailed and take quite a lot of time to write (not sure if BT's 7 page document statement is accurate or not)

Is bumping the word you are looking for? What you have described sounds like bumping through.

Can't say I'm familiar with the term in this context and Google won't enlighten me.

Just finished watching the Netflix produced Bloodlines. Ben Mendelsohn was fantastic and no wonder he received a nomination for best supporting actor.

great show and I highly recommend it, there are 13 episodes.

I'm sick of the rubbish that's on Fox Footy so I'm watching the replay of last year's VFL grand final. Box Hill has all the momentum in the 3rd quarter but I suspect Jones and Dickson have something left to give from here

I watched the highlights on Als Highlights the other day. It's a three minute production interweaving crowd and atmos shots with highlights of the game. It's not bad.
