A good test match. Pakistan shot themselves in the foot with a crucial dropped catch whilst they could be annoyed that Mitch Marsh wasn't given LBW for not playing at a ball that to the naked eye looked as if it was going to clip the top of off yesterday. If you don't play you should forego any benefit of the doubt.

They really are an almost team Pakistan.

Our bowling outfit performed really well, our batting was scratchy and some of the top order need to apply themselves for longer in games.

Good test deck from the MCG ground staff and nice to hear an opposing captain call that out after the match. Beats the hell out of the bland dross being dished up a few years ago, without having to be over the top with bounce or seam.

Very good Boxing Day Test match.

I went along today with my brother and sat in the MCC Level 1 and we enjoyed it. Plan on going to the Boxing Test again next year when we play India. Will be a much bigger crowd.

Pakistan played well and had very good periods. Day 3 was what cost them the dropped catch then Smith and Marsh had a solid partnership to put us in a strong position. Marsh unlucky going out on 96.

My biggest knock on Cummins is that he's typically never been had enough 5 wickets in an innings type bowler. 3 in a row is impressive.

Cummins has bowled with such an effective group.
It is harder to get 5 wicket innings when all the bowlers are taking wickets.

Brilliant effort by Pakistan to get the score over 300. We will need to bat well tomorrow.
