    Check it out

This link shows the reverse for the following season. Billups 47%, Melo 42%.

Not arguing to defend them anyhow, I'll wait to see how this NYK team goes.

It also shows Billups at .300 for this season

And Felton > Billups this season. Billups just puts up terrible shots all game long.

Can't be right, this season he's shooting around the 44% from FGs. Maybe that is his NY Knicks average????

Just heard Perk might be leaving the Celtics too! People moving everywhere.

            Re: NBA Thread

Perkins is off to OKC with Nate Robinson for Jeff Green and Krstic.

I don't know what plans the Celtics have for Jeff Green. Doesn't seem like a good fit to me.

It was a crazy last day!

The Celtics also got rid of Daniels and Erden which I believe is to clear some cap space to sign Troy Murphy.

No its right for clutch time.

Terrible trade for Boston - no longer contenders.

Sorry, thought you ment for normal stats.
With Melo and Amare, I probably wouldn't be looking for Billups down the stretch if I were the Knicks.

I don't like the Boston trade either, but hope you are wrong about the "Not contenders" call.

Yeah, that's true but the guy is out of contract at the end of the year. He'll be backup for quite some time if he stays at the Celtics. Do you see Boston throwing the $$$ at him to keep him there or Green staying as a back up? Unless Perkins' knee is so bad they had no choice but to get rid of him this is a waste of a trade. They now rely on O'Neal and O'Neil to fill the middle that is asking for trouble.

I don't know a lot about Green but I did read plenty of statements of how he "underachieved" in Oklahoma.
I'm a big Celtics fan, even went over to watch a game last year, but I can't get my head around this trade. Perk was a massive anchor for that team, he did (does) things that don't show on the stat sheet( ask Howard about last playoffs). Even if the Celtics were worried about loosing him and not getting a thing at the end of the year, the guy would be playing his heart out trying to get his value up. Especially with possible league pay restrictions coming up.
I guess I'm asking at what point do you sacrifice a possible single championship (this year) for more years of just doing well?

Looking at it I can not for the life of me know why Wade left Dang????
Rose had none other than Lebron James guarding him! Also he hadn't got passed him either, he (James) by no means needed help.
Wade going for the glory play.

Agree, but with Daniels out for the season, you can't have Pierce as the only option to guard the likes of James (and now Anthony) come playoff time. Perkins already sat in crunch time (with Davis and Garnett playing) so what was he supposed to do? Boston clearly think they can win this year, Perkins has had a gazillion knee surgeries and (from all reports) wants to earn $10 million per year on his next contract.

I get the downside, but without Daniels they needed defensive help on the perimeter and I dont see what choice they had but to make a move.

The moves were clearly made with an eye to picking up a player of waivers which they have done in Troy Murphy

Delonte West becomes crucial with Nate Robinson having been traded and Marquis Daniels injured and also traded

They've played some of there best ball going small with KG at the C spot
