    Re: NBA Thread

The Magic won because they started playing to their strengths. Got Lewis the ball on plenty of pick and rolls and he was 7/8 after half time with mostly wide open jumpers.

Also Lebron started doing it all by himself which meant his teammates all went cold.

If we keep playing to our strengths and defending well we should win it from here. Heck we won the reg season series which included a 29 point blowout, which was 40 at some point in the 3rd. The Cavs havn't played any decent team so far this playoff series so it's great to see them under a bit of pressure now. Has Lebron learnt to trust his teammates enough yet? Can the Cavs do anything to stop Dwight?

So for you guys with no OneHD does that mean you also don't get One digital? It's a standard def channel. The quality of the broadcast is so much better on OneHd than Espn.

Don't get anything. All I get here are adds saying ONE HD coming soon to Southern Cross and it has been that way for a long time now. I've heard June it will be here but I don't expect to see it until around Aug - Sep. Southern Cross are f'ing hopless, always have been, always will be!

Just a quick question - am too lazy to research - are the games that are played on one hd live the same as the espn/fox sports games? Is it only on monday nights for one hd? Thanks!

Good win by the Nuggets, they really needed to sneak away with one here to be any chance of winning this series. I'm really hoping Denver get there mainly because of my favorite coach, George Karl. He couldn't quite get there in Seattle but would love to see him get a ring in Denver. He deserves it probably more than any coach in the league.

One thing I've learnt since Pau Gasol moved to LA, I hate the guy! I guess when he was in Memphis we didn't get to see him as much, now his teams games a televised a lot here and I get to see what a soft, whining, flopping beatch he really is. Stand up like a man Pau instead of falling! In one of the last plays if you took the bump and stayed on your feet you could have helped defend the rim. Insetad you were sitting on your butt with your arms up in the air whining to the ref. Last years Finals showed how soft he is, he hasn't improved on that.

No they aren't Dex. Same games are the same maybe once a fortnight in the reg season.
At the moment Eastern Conference finals are on OneHD and Western Conf. on ESPN.

Thanks mate - it's sad, I actually play NBA 2K9 on Xbox, more than I watch actual NBA games hah hah. But I'm not going to miss the Finals.

ESPN will cover all those. I'm guessing ONEHD will as well.

                  Cavs 96 def Magic 95.

James hits the 3 point shot to win the game for the Cavs with 1 second on the clock.

                  EPIC.

Beautiful win by the Magic today. We are controlling Cleveland at the moment.

Man what is wrong with the Cavs? Haven't beat Orlando in Orlando all season. I haven't given up hope yet. But it'll be hard to win from here. We can win at home, then maybe an upset at Orlando in game 6. That'll take it to game 7. But a lot's gonna have to change for that to happen. The game 1 loss where we gave up the lead is costing us big time.

Didn't they need a 3 at the buzzer to win that game as well? I've doubted Orlando ever since Nelson went down, how wrong was I? It's far from over yet but it is going to be tough for Cleveland to get back from here. Finger crossed Orlando wrap this one up next game.

If it weren't for Lebron's miracle shot the series would officially be over now. It will finish in game 5 IMO. Wrapt I got 8-1 on the Magic to win the East 2 weeks ago.

An OT win at home is your definition of controlling. You mark them pretty easily.

A win by 10 at home too. A win in OT that went to OT because of a ridiculous foul called against Pietrus for Lebron falling over his own feet. The Magic have been hammered by the refs in 3 of the 4 games (game 4 was a fairly well called game IMO) and are 3-1 up. If not for a miracle shot it would have been a 4-0 sweep to the Magic.

Mind you I wrote that comment after game 3, a game in which Cleveland never got closer than 4 in the last quarter. I fail to see how Orlando can be said to be anything other than in complete control of the series.
