They are idiots, a fake isn't being in the act but the refs just call it because it is him. Others players don't get the same luxury even if they are playing in the same game.

There aren't many better SG's in the East, but maybe Stephen Jackson deserves inclusion ahead of him. David Stern just threw up in his mouth a little at the suggestion. Even Luol Deng or Raymond Felton would be better inclusions.
Melo barely deserves inclusion but clearly has a huge fan base.
His form has picked up in the past fortnight which makes it look less egregious.

Bogut a bit stiff, but Horford is just as good.
That West team is amazingly good
      Its all about winning records

Joe Johnson is the best player on a winning team, Horford gets in over Bogut because of the teams record.

That said Bogut is basically playing left handed this year and its a testimony to him he is able to be as effective as he is given the enormous injury limitations he is clearly playing under

Felton started strong but has cooled off a bit, Deng misses out on depth in the east - lots of good wingmen and only so many roster spots.

In the West Nash is the most unlucky, and Lemarcus Aldridge but its such a strong team in the West with young stud PGs in DWilliams, Paul and Westbrook

Can't say I see alot of other players do the move? I know I've seen Kobie, Dirk and a few bench shooters do it and they get the same call. But most usually draw the contact without the fake. This way isn't as reliable because the shooter can't deviate once he has left the ground, therefore can't draw the foul if the defender isn't within body contact distance.

It's interesting, I heard some "experts" refer to records when selecting the Boston/Atlanta players for the bench of the east. But then the west coaches pick Griffin and Love on their individual performances.

For the record, I know you have to reward winning but an all star game should be player based performances IMO. It's a All Star game, not a all winners game.

They gave up a lot for one player. I don't think they'll be worse now but maybe in the long run. I really thought the Knicks had a good nucleus before this trade and would have grown well together.

Good on Denver though, they did pretty well out of this.

The level of trading has really gotten out of hand. How can the fans feel any connection to the team when half of it is traded away overnight?

                    I agree.

Even though they lost Melo, i still think they will have a decent team.

Totally agree. So many players have to move just to accommodate the bigger names

They did get Chauncey Billups as well, which is a very interesting prospect come playoffs. Mr big shot could be a difference provided the Melo/Amare combo works. But you are right the Knicks team on the court was getting it done, they probably needed a little trade to tip them into the championship running instead of one big one.

Mr Big Shot hasn't been Mr Big Shot since about 2004.
The most undeserving nickname of all time.

Melo, in contrast, is deadly in game ending situations.
The last season they contended 08/09 Melo shot 56% in the last five minutes plus OT of games.
Billups shot 40% for the same games.

So much better than Melo. Brook Lopez sure to be the major benefactor here

If you are upset with the guys nickname take that up with the basketball media, I mearly repeated it.
All I am saying is the Knicks also got a seasoned point guard with championship experience. People are acting like they only got Melo.
It is questionable if trading for Anthony will work for the Knicks, but trading for experience and more punch at the PG is what they did need.
