I'm definitely not feeling disrespected because that is just a ridiculous comment.

      You're joking right?

No disrespect intended to Robinson. Your feelings didn't come into it.

Robinson was a big mobile centre. But a power player? No way. I'm happy to trust your judgement on Sabonis as you saw him more than I did. But I was a Spurs fan and saw heaps of Robinson. A fine player, but got pushed around too much.

Thanks, again, for another even and measured response.

TD are you saying that Robinson 'was the most physical big man' or is EWs comment ridiculous because it didn't need to be said?
He was a great player but there are a few guys that were more physical than him.

Apologies, just when someone complains about a post being too short and not explaining something, then has it explained and brushes it off by implying that Robinson is soft it annoys me.

Where did I complain about a post that was too short or that it didn't explain something? You responded to my post (for the second time in this thread) by having a dig at me instead of addressing the issue being discussed.

And I never implied (or thought) that Robinson was soft. I said he wasn't the most physical player, and nor did I mean any disrespect to him by it.

As it seems I need to explain then here it is: David Robinson was a great and skillful player. He was tough and resilient and a terrific athlete. But there's no way he could be described as a power player that physically intimidated and imposed his will on his opposition.

If you choose to respond to this I would hope you'll address what is being discussed rather than taking another shot at me.

Saying you didn't watch someone enough isn't taking a dig at you, it is telling you the truth which you later admitted anyway.

Monster comeback by the Mavs today ties the Series at 1-1 with the next three games in Dallas.

Mate I'm on the Mavs big time in this series. When they were down by 15 mid 4th, I was like all those fans watching in the Dallas arena. What a comeback!
Even when Chalmers hit that 3 to tie it, I knew Dirk would seal the deal.

Heat steal the home court advantage back with a 2 point win. Heat lead 2-1.

For someone who doesn't follow either of these teams, why does every Miami win feel like a punch in the stomach?
                      Their coronation now seems inevitable.

Lebron being totally validated with his view that he needed help.
Wade totally carried the team today

                        Re: NBA Thread

The funny part is that he doesn't need help, he needs someone to take over a game - which considering his standing in the game and iconic status is pathetic.

I've been rooting against Lebron as much as anyone this year but if you watched the Boston & Chicago series' you would not use the word "pathetic" in any sense of the word.

He obliterated D-Rose on the defensive end and hit every big shot needed.

People seem to think a carbon coby of MJ or Kobe is the only template to create an icon.
Wade is clearly the better closer, but Lebron all around performance in the playoffs can't be questioned.

Sounds like some in the media are taking my perspective on this too.

Sorry but if you are being labelled the greatest ever and refer to yourself as the King, you need to close out games.

Chicago choked. James was huge against Boston.

Not particularly a James hater. Hate the way he left Cleveland and think he is a tosser but I think most NBA stars are tossers.

I don't believe anyone has said he is the greatest ever.
Scottie Pippen recently said he might be one day better than Jordan.
He is not currently Top Ten given he has no titles on his resume.

If you don't believe his defense wiped Derrick Rose off the court when it mattered, then you're dreamin.

Arnold Palmer was called the King and he threw away more US Opens than you could shake a stick at
