You guys know T-Mac hasn't even been playing...and is out for the year right?

Houston are doing it on the back of Yao who really is in career best form and they have two good defenders who have the potential to cause Kobe fits. With Ginobli out for the year, I cannot see the Spurs getting to the WCF...to me the Rockets are a real chance.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Is Shane Battier still playing for the Rockets? Always thought he would do a bit better than his results have indicated so far. I guess if you are not a star player in the NBA you get lost in the shuffle a fair bit.

He is one of the defenders I mentioned.

              Super, super impressive

But dont overlook second year Rockets PG Aaron Brooks (27 points, 10-17 FGs, 5-8 FGs 7 assists) sticking it to fellow Seattle homie Brandon Roy and the Trailblazers

I watched the last 40 seconds of the Jazz vs. Lakers game on 1 HD last night. Opened and Finished a beer while that 40 seconds was being played. Christ it's an irrelevant sport. Why not just start at 80 each and play for 2 minutes.

OK. Any updated picks on the first rounders?

All of the series are very close (except Cavs/Pistons, Nuggs/NO) but of most interest right now to me are the 6'ers over the Magic and Rockets over the Blazers.

Both of these teams are 2-1 up at the moment...the Blazers had been pre-ordained as the team most likely to make it to the conference finals, whilst only a couple of weeks back it seemed that Howard's Magic were supposed to be a chance to upset the Cavs...

So the Rockets go 3-1 up on the Blaze and the Magic V 76ers are tied at two apiece. From here you'd think Rockets and Magic advance

Pistons didn't give a whimper against the Cavs, and are clearly re-building - how remains to be seen

I have no idea what Detroit are doing. I actually thought the Iverson trade was a worthy role of the dice at the time, but he has gone backwards faster than anyone expected...And despite the potential free-agents in 2010 (meaning there might be some deals this summer as teams take the 'better get something for them' approach, does anyone really want to live in Detroit?

I still like Houston...will be interesting to see what happens when they try and squeeze McGrady back in next season.

Cleveland 4-0. 3rd team in history to sweep the series by over 10 points a game. GO CAVS!!! Chicago vs Boston is getting interesting. Chicago wins in double overtime. 2-2. I hope Chicago wins, it'd shut up all the Boston hype.

Amazing to think that the Bulls have now taken two from the Celts...and if they could have guarded Allen occasionally down the stretch in game 2 might be 3-1 up. Not sure that there is much Boston hype these days though since the Garnett injury.

How did Mr Rose go in game 4? Started well, then Rondo got him in game 2 but particularly game 3...did he fight back in game 4?

I didn't watch it so i couldn't answer that one I'm afraid. I could only go off articles where it seems that Gordon made some massive shots and Rose scored 23, grabbed 11 rebounds and had 9 assists. So he did well. BUT Rondo scored his second triple-double of the series with 25 points, 11 boards and 11 assists, making him the first Celtic since Larry Bird to get 2 triple doubles in the same series.

James became just the second player in NBA history to accumulate at least 1,300 points, 400 rebounds and 350 assists in his first 50 career postseason games (Oscar Robertson was the other). And people try to tell me James is over rated...

I think Joe Dumars got it all wrong when he fired Coach Flip Saunders and hired assistant Michael Curry. If you want to hold senior players accountable the last thing you do is hire their mate.

Iverson has shown that he is not prepared to be anything other than 'the man' and there aren't going to be too many teams this summer who will hitch their wagon to him - he could be out of he league, but may land back with Larry Brown in Charlotte. The pistons basically paid him to stay away in the end.

Sheed mailed in the playoff series and is likely gone also.

There are question marks over Stuckey and whether he is really capable of being an elite PG. They have Tayshawn and Rip who are pieces another team might want but aren't going to give up studs for. Will Coach Curry survive given that Joey D has sacked much better performing coaches in the past?

Interesting in Houston that Von Wafer has been able to cover TMacs spot nicely for 1/15th the price
