A lot of talk around Drogba returning to Chelsea on a one year deal as a playing coach. Will be used in a mentoring role for Lukaku and Costa and take up the spot of the squads rarely used third striker(only getting games in the cups and against Arsenal).

Love for this to happen.

Thats because the plan has always been that he would return as a coach once he's finished playing, his family still live within walking distance of our Cobham training ground.

Yep good signing things are moving just nicely, he was desperate to get to us and left Southampton no choice in the end.

Looks like the end of Agger with Lovren coming in.

They may as well just add some white stripes to the kit next season at this rate.

There really isn't any incentive for teams in the lower half of the table to do anything aside from avoid relegation.

The Saints have torn their side apart. Might be rich atm, but that side is going to take time to get cohesion. Might be when they're already in the red zone.

I guess as long as the player has what you are after, then it doesn't really matter where they come from. It's all about a balanced side.

We really needed to extend our depth and options, we had no Plan B because we just didn't have the Cattle. Losing Hendo late last season cost us dearly in the end. We just didn't have anyone else.

We are Liverpool, we don't need big names. We get good promising players and make them great.
