Honduras who are 5th, play both Mexico & Costa Rica in their last 2 games. I could easily see them rolling over to stuff up the USA's chances, especially Mexico.
It is a massive game and your right I could see Mexico rolling over as well.

Timmy looked lost out there at times. We missed Aaron Mooy big time last week against in Japan.
Aaron Mooy was a huge out and left us little chance of winning that's why we should've sat back a bit.

Very dissapointing. Didn't watch the game on Tuesday night but from what I heard it was an unconvincing 2-1 win. We have made it hard for ourselves now having to qualify for the 2018 World Cup via the play off route twice.

Unconvincing? It should have been 7-1. Hit the post 3 times, had 3 cleared off the line, missed open goals. Was a smashing.

Probably wrong choice of words there. Yes didn't watch the match but yes looking at the stats we had a lot of shots at goal so basically couldn't take our opportunities which nearly cost us. Really we should have won by a lot more against the minnows of this group.

              Yep.

              There were two main problems.

First, we didn't execute well when we had gilt-edged chances.

Second, we left ourselves open to counter-attack after counter attack, and Thailand were actually looking dangerous the few times they took the ball over half-way.

This would not have happened had we structured up better and got a point in Japan the week before. We would have been able to provide cover at the back against Thailand without sacrificing scoring power, and Japan would have needed to go full throttle against the Saudis just to qualify.

Oh come on, you guys are just picking on Ange. Ange is the most put upon person on the face of the Earth at the moment. It's just not fair...
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I see the sydney Graham Arnold besties Bosnich and Slater have got Ange in the gun .
We're just not that good , simple . Not sure I like this playing out from the keeper , as we're not skilled enough imho .
Play to your strengths against physically inferior teams , and that means hoofing it long.
Every time we played it out quickly they were out of shape terribly .

To the same point who are we hoofing it to? We have no one that wins headers consistently.

1-1 away draw in the first leg against Syria. That's 8 games in a row we have been unable to win on the road. We dominated the first 60 minutes and they dominated the last 30 minutes - we really ran out of legs in the hot oppressive conditions. Their equaliser was a dirty penalty that was as soft as butter. On balance probably a decent result with an away goal in the back pocket.

Big game tonight in CONCACAF. USA play Panama. If Panama win we will play USA assuming we get past Syria. Honduras play the top 2 sides so i can't see them getting the points needed. The game is being played in the US so i see them getting up. I would lean towards Panama being the team we end up playing as they play Costa Rica in the last game whereas US play Trinidad and Tobago. If tonight is a draw then i still lean towards Panama.

Panama are ranked 60th in the world. USA 28. Either way we will be up against it when we struggle to beat Thailand(137) and Syria(75)

It would be typical if we just squeaked through against the US and then win the World Cup.

Some perspective - Argentina are 6th in qualifying and currently aren't even in a play-off place. World Cups are not easy to qualify for.
