I will NEVER forgive them for 2006. That Australian team was the perfect storm and it's a lot of 'what if's' but I do often wonder how far we would have gone if we had just got through that last two minutes of regulation time (and brought all the fresh legs on for injury time against a reeling Italian team with 10 men).
Semi final at best. Ukraine in the quarters was winnable (very difficult) but there's no way we would have got past the Germans in the semi. Still a top 4 result would have been the stuff of dreams.

I think we will win comfortably tonight. We lack a cutting edge in front of goal but almost always manage to score 2 goals or more at home. Honduras are a very average team, and should we qualify we should bow down to both Panama and Mexico for ensuring we avoided the USA in this tie.

There is a massive opportunity for 18-21yo emerging Australian strikers to grab a world cup berth next year if we can get the job done tonight.

      .

Do you know the name of one? We asked Daniel Kerr to ask his sister but he said she was busy around those dates.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Big game. Hopefully we play well and get the job done and go to the World Cup.

Half time 0-0. We had our chances to score but didn't take them. Honduras would be satisfied with their first half. We need to score.

I'm as nervous AF. And I think the Socceroos are too.

We need to settle and fund touch. Too heavy atm

Rogic and Mooy fluffed a couple of good chances. These guys are our silk so they need to do better.

Yes that will be really nerve racking BAD if it got to that stage.

                        Yep we need another.

Honduras attacking more now should present us with more chances

I don't like this at all. We have dominated this game, this tie but we are only one goal on front..

This has all the makings of one those classic Sovceroos heartbreakers exactly as I remember them.
