    Re: Trade Rumours 2024

You say you want a evolution
    Well, you know
We all want to change the team
You tell me that it's evolution
    Well, you know
We all wanna change the team
But when you talk about distraction
Don't you know that you can count me out
    Don't piss off old people
The older we get the less "LIFE IN PRISON" is a deterrent...

What age was Brian Lake when he left the dogs? If you are in or close to the window then 29 is fine I would have thought.

Sammy must find a KPD going into 2025, if Liam goes down we still wont be able to rely on JOD and Buss yet.

I wonder if having Daniel Pratt as our defensive coach might be a positive in our ability to potentially attract Barrass too the club? Pratt would have coached him for a few years. Collingwoods ability to attract huge crowds could work against us.

We clearly aren't close to the window currently sadly.

G, did you happen to see Zak Butters on your tour of the club yesterday? I heard he had one booked in as well...

Yes, he was having a midweek swim in our impressive aquatic centre. Keep it quiet though.

Essendon all over Ben Ainsworth as a FA apparently.
North have made a massive offer to Elliott Yeo.
Hawks right into Josh Battle who I rate but many don't.

It certainly would work as a great point of entry. Would be far easier to get an initial meeting with Barrass and Pratty knowing each other than the typical cold call approach to player managers etc.

I believe that the dogs biggest obstacle with recruiting A graders is we don't have the draw of being a "wow" club. We're not playing in front of 80,000 in the regular season, we're not getting marquee games, but if we can get a player in the doors to take a look around our facilities and meet our people it increases our draw significantly. We just need that initial IN or point of contact to get the foot in the door. Fingers crossed Pratt is that guy for Barrass.

We just need to get Daniel Rioli to the club and we'll then have the full set of Mia Fevola exes

I totally understand why clubs like Hawthorn and Geelong have an easier time recruiting players than we do, but it?s baffling that players continuously choose Essendon as a destination when a good chunk of the playing population wasn?t even alive the last time Essendon saw any success.

Ainsworth and Battle would both be great for us.

Guarantee Yeo gets injured in his first few games at North if he accepts their offer.

Success could come to anyone at any time. ANZAC day is forever

I would chase Battle before Barass . I rate Battle and he would be long term.
