Can't wait for the telemovie just for the laughs. Who plays Jimmy ?
    Why can't he play himself?

The selfishness of Hird has been breathtaking. The point that illustrated it this was 12 months ago, mid season, when Hird used his post-match press conference to go into a rather lengthy defense of the club and its drugs program. At that point, any coach with a grain of humility would have just shut up and addressed the game of the day.
I just cannot imagine Ken Hinkley, Alistair Clarkson or any other professional coach driving pig-headed on the wrong side of the PR road for so long.

Interesting listening Bombers speech at the B+F
Mentioned Dogs and Crows having senior players not willing to change .
Looking in from the outside he reckons senior players put up road blocks at all turns.
          Very very interesting

That is interesting. Macca and Bomber are still in regular contact, aren't they? I daresay Macca would be confiding his difficulties...

Big surprise that he'd put that out there.

Probably not going to help out McCartney.
              TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Could dare say this doesn't bode well for Macca at all.

It sounds to me like Macca might have asked him to take a swipe for him. Maybe he thinks that he just isn't getting through and a bit of outside comment might stir things up a bit?
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

12 months later - James will be sacked for going against the club's wishes in pursuit of his own agenda and will probably get a pay out as a result - essentially earning a truck load of cash for doing nothing.......beggers belief!

He had to go to France.

                          And Hird is gone!

James Hird has been removed as coach of Essendon. The first stage of his removal took place on Wednesday when the outgoing club legend was given the opportunity
to resign with a nominal payout or be sacked.
Bombers chairman Paul Little is believed to have met Hird in one of his South Yarra offices shortly before Wednesday night's Crichton Medal count and given him a document outlining the first stage of his departure.
Mark Thompson, who filled in as senior coach after Hird's 12-month suspension, looks certain to be appointed to the top job within days.

I think Thompson should go as well. He's no hero and must have known what was going on. He's been charged anyway.

No decision today on Hird. Board to convene next week. So, Hird not sacked...

Can we chip in for a barrister to get a Supreme Court suppression order to stop this bring mentioned by the media?
