Bulldogs star “on track to return” for Finals
Adam Treloar could return from injury for the Western Bulldogs, if they feature in September action.
There's good news for Bulldogs fans as midfield star Adam Treloar is making inroads to recover from his calf injury just in time for Finals, if the Bulldogs are to clinch a spot inside the top eight.
Treloar has battled a number of injuries this season, ruling him out of all but four games in 2025, with his calf strain in Round 15 the most recent setback to sideline the 32-year-old.
However, it has been reported by Fox Footy's David Zita that Treloar is "on track" to return in time for Finals, potentially providing the Bulldogs with a massive boost of talent for the post-season.
"Adam Treloar got through a match-like training session yesterday with flying colours," Zita said.
"It's a really good result for him as he tries to get back from his latest soft tissue concern. The club will now need to weigh up whether he's ready for a return, likely via the VFL next week.
"So, good news for the Dogs if they are able to get themselves into the Finals, that's their main primary focus, with Adam Treloar closing in on some form of return."
Treloar led the AFL in disposals per game in 2024, averaging 31.5 touches over 23 games for the Bulldogs, highlighting the impact he could make on his return.
