I also heard this on one of the footy shows - said his return to play outlook was unclear. It was also mentioned that Bont was more unlikely than likely for Gather Round.Comment

Deep Heat Medical Room: Round 4
A quartet of Bulldogs are tracking to be available for Sunday's clash with Fremantle.
Taylor Duryea missed last week’s victory over Carlton, however will train this week to determine his availability.
“Taylor had some general soreness out of the physical game against the Pies in Round 2,” Head of Sports Medicine, Chris Bell said.
“He has freshened up over the weekend and we will monitor him throughout the week, but we are expecting him to be putting his hand up for selection.”
After missing multiple weeks due to concussion, Luke Cleary remains a strong chance to feature this weekend.
“Luke Cleary has progressed well in the last seven days following his concussion,” Bell said.
“He is now symptom free and feeling back to his best.”
“He still has some final boxes to tick this week before we can declare him available, but he remains on track to return to playing this weekend.
Anthony Scott and Lachie Jacques haven’t played a game for the Bulldogs in 2025 due to injury, with the pair aiming for a return this weekend.
“Anthony has been building training continuity across the last few weeks after spending some time in a rehab model following his partial kneecap dislocation injury,” Bell said.
“He has been the ultimate professional across the last two months, and if he gets through our main training sessions this week like I expect, I look forward to him pulling on the jumper this weekend.”
“Lachlan Jaques had some minor overload of a bone in his thigh at the back end of our pre-season campaign.”
“We have managed him across the last few weeks, so he missed the Round 1 VFL clash, but we look forward to him representing the red, white and blue in the VFL this Saturday.”

It’s looking like it’s heading in the right direction. Bont and Cody the massive concerns.
let’s hope that we can hang in and get to the half way mark and be on the positive side of the ledgerBB.
Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.Comment

The difference between 3 weeks and 5 weeks for Bont is massive. I thought we'd get him back for Gather Round if we were lucky but definitely by the Saints game.
Any longer and it's gonna be a pretty big hill to climb.Comment

Bont was always going to be slow 6-8 weeks, only reason to skim that is to sell memberships.
I just hope they have not pushed for sooner, and it ends up being 8-10.
Weightmen, may not be a set back. He was already still at least 12 weeks away before the additional surgery.Comment
