It's nice to VDM getting some love on the forum if we go back a season or two that wouldn't have been the case. (Not pointing the finger at any posters just a general observation this year)
Could it just been him being slower at maturing into AFL level and not wanting to jinx it his finishing work is the best its ever been.Don't piss off old people
The older we get the less "LIFE IN PRISON" is a deterrent...Comment

I assumed he was getting in the extra work in case he just sat idle tomorrow night.
Could a potential late change played a part in it? Well we will know more tomorrow.Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"Comment

The Western Bulldogs can confirm that scans have cleared Sam Darcy of an ACL rupture.
The 21-year-old has suffered an impaction fracture in his left knee, with associated ligament damage.
“Scans have cleared the ACL of damage but confirmed that he has suffered a significant knee injury with an impaction fracture at the front of his knee and associated ligament damage at the back of his knee,” Chris Bell, Head of Sports Medicine at the Bulldogs, said.
The Club is expecting that surgical management is required to repair this injury, with a definitive timeline to be set in coming weeks.

https://player.fm/series/series-2343...r-re-sam-darcy - an excellent interview discussing the detail of his injury. Still unlikely to play any part this season, but I back him to be diligent in his recovery.👍 2Comment

I think the main thing with Darcy is to do everything we can to make sure this does not impact his future in anyway, even if it means this season in a loss. The guy has so much football left in in him I want to be watching him at his absolute best for years to come. We owe it to the footy public if not ourselves.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]Comment

Injury News Deep Heat Medical Room: Round 7
The latest on Sam Darcy, Lachie McNeil and more ahead of Saturday's clash with the Giants.
By Western Bulldogs Media

Deep Heat
The Bulldogs are working through a number of management options with injured forward Sam Darcy, who sustained an impaction fracture in Sunday night’s win over St Kilda.
Scans yesterday cleared Darcy of an ACL rupture, but did confirm a fracture and some ligament damage.
“In the first quarter of the game, Sam was involved in a marking contest and landed awkwardly,” Head of Sports Medicine Chris Bell said.
“On landing, his knee jammed back into hyper-extension. This mechanism has pinched the bones at the front of his knee joint together, while also overstretching the ligaments and soft tissue at the back of his knee.
“We are currently working through opinions and options on how to best manage Sam, and will update his return-to-play timeline in the coming days.”
The Dogs will also be without Lachie McNeil against the Giants this weekend.
“Lachie had the onset of some hamstring tightness late in the fourth quarter against St Kilda,” Bell said.
“Scans have confirmed he has a low-grade hamstring strain injury. This will prevent Lachie from playing in Round 7, but we expect this will be a short-term setback.”
In more positive news, the Bulldogs could regain Laith Vandermeer and James Harmes for their ANZAC Appeal Round clash at Manuka Oval.
“Laith has progressed well following the injury he had behind his knee,” Bell said.
“He completed a match parameters training session on the weekend and has pulled up well. We’ll put him through his paces this week to prove his fitness ahead of selection on Thursday.
“James continues to improve each day following the foot issue that led to him being subbed out of our Round 6 game against Brisbane.
“He is back up and running and is close to being symptom-free. He will need to tick some boxes for us throughout our main training session on Thursday before we can confirm his availability.”
In the VFL, Luke Kennedy has entered concussion protocols after being involved in a tackle which saw his head hit the ground.
