It's weird how being 1-5 against top 8 sides seemed nowhere as bad as 1-6.

I mean the trend was already apparent.

Don't really understand any of the expectations, I mean based on talent, form and ability to execute to me we're exactly where we should be. In the hunt for fifth to tenth. And to me that's actually not bad for where our list is and what injuries have done to us. Before this week did the commentariat seriously think we were going to win nine or ten out of eleven or twelve games to finish top four?

Every line on the ground has been weakened due to injury or absenteeism, plus a few players dropping in form. I just don't understand how we could have at any point been rated as highly as we have been. Weird, almost as if the media is cheer leading the signing of a coach doing just fine without a contract, just so they can rip into it after we play the next twelve rounds true to form and capability and finish ninth.
      TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

That’s fair, though I wil say the predictable, or far too familiar nature of the loss to Hawthorn was jarring.

The other losses, maybe with the exception of the Freo game, I felt passed the sniff test. Walked away looking at it and going, this team is not geared the same way they have been, it’s not the joyless, incoherent football side Bevo has rolled out for a few years. The losses were in the margins. That’s the way it read to me in the moment.

it’s been a bit leaky one way and lean on the wins column but the mood has been “just get scalp.” Do that and we are pushing for heights in season that haven’t been explored for a few years. Instead, the ladder looks a bit ugly, the fixture sets us up for what should be a good run and then we can reasonably expect to get smacked when the good teams roll around again.

July will answer the doubts that have crept in I think.

I’d be horribly disappointed if we make a decision before our rd.19 clash against Brisbane.

The signs had been positive before the Hawthorn game, but that was so typical of this team over the past 4-5 years and it’s wearing thin.

Interesting that they said on the Melb v Pies game that Bevo has got two years and they will announce it this week

I’m ok with t hi s as u actually think this is his best year and it’s a back to wall moment that he will build on in the run to the finals
            BB.

Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.

No don’t stress he and the club have done a great job this and last year. It’s a shame that JUH derailed us last year in the finals

Am I the only one not excited by Bevo re-signing?

Just feel like we should be moving in a new direction.

It's a weird one. Start of the season after seemingly over coming many issues in the back half of last season I was all in on a new tenure.

Now, after a fair sample size, being outside the 8 with a 1-6 record against the contenders I'm more cautious. Losing some key players through injury possibly offsets that however.

I'm still ok with a two year extension though, just a little more trepidation than prior to this season.
