I was ultra disappointed when we missed out on Hurley as I thought he was the missing piece for a premiership. For some reason, I no longer care.

Given current circumstances, adding 2 quality kids > paying big $$$ for a mature elite defender.

As a Dogs fan, I should have realised it would all work out in the end

Yeah everything always turns out Milhhaus for us.

I do like the ideas of Galluci simply because we'd legitimately have a wog-squad back together, albeit with far more class than the last squad.

Ridley seems like the type we go for, unsold on Marshall although the draft watcher say his ability to recover and grab the ground ball is elite.

Not happy that we're likely to miss out on ben Long, 26 seems a reach and he likely won't be around at pick 50. I wonder if we'd look at a Willie Rioli type with one of our late picks.

And this is from Sam Landsberger in HS. Hawthorn is/was in to him ... "Hawthorn eye Tristan Tweedie in draft but can get him as category B rookie if no club selects him"

I never understood the whole system and googled again for Cat B Rookie and this FP article explained it nicely. I thought I would put up here for others to read.

The list they provided didn't include your inside info with us interested in Tristan Tweedie but the list is a week old already:

WHO HAS BEEN NOMINATED AS A CATEGORY B ROOKIE IN 2016?

Statistically speaking, 17 indigenous and 16 multicultural players are available for their respectively nominated clubs. Of the 33 youngsters, 10 of these players are AFL nominated to be chosen after the rookie draft is finished should they not already be selected.

Several people asked him why Hawthorn wouldn't sign him with their rights over him and their alleged interest, and he has posted nothing more on it nor answered any of the questions. Seems to have moved onto tweeting about other things.

A local leader newspaper out east, only a couple of days ago, quoted the Eastern Ranges footy boss as saying Hawthorn provided medical assurances to Tweedie this year (after his injury) and would be shocked if Hawthorn didn't pick him up after watching him so close for so long.
