Adding extra players won't be an issue. The points only apply when matching the bid, lists spots can still be filled albeit at the back end of the draft

We can only use picks for draftpoints for

      a) the number of list spots we have available
      b) the picks that have a draft point value

Since there are technically no limit to how many rounds the draft can go for even if JUH is bid on pick one and we lose the next 5 picks our 6th and 7th pick (whatever number that may be) would be usable.

With the reduction in draftees required in 2020, we could use our listed picks for JUH for 4 or 5 rounds and still have effectively round 6 before pick 50 if multiple other clubs only pick one player.

Would have thought being attacked by plovers would make you run faster?

RIOLI JR ATTACKED BY PLOVERS, UNABLE TO COMPLETE TIME-TRIAL:
Richmond father-son prospect Maurice Rioli Jr was unable to complete his time-trial on the weekend because he was attacked by a group of plovers.
According to a tweet by Callum Twoomey, the 18-year-old was unable to complete his 2km time trial after being swooped by a flock of birds who were protecting a nearby nest.
An e-mail was sent to AFL clubs in recent days explaining the reason why Rioli could not complete the circuit.

A long time ago I lived in East Sale for a few months, presumably to atone for a past life of constant sin. There are a lot of Plovers there.

Plovers are evil and they certainly can ruin a run. They're worse than magpies.

I love bird-life generally. I hate Plovers specifically. I wish them all a full and quick extinction.

                Disagree.

I have been a regular runner for many years and have encountered plovers numerous times. I have always found that if you ignore them they do no harm.

However spending more time in suburban Melbourne in recent times, I have been attacked by Magpies as I run and the ignore trick just doesn't work.

This is my experience too. Plovers put up a good show, but mainly bark. Magpies : brutal. I've been hit on my bike numerous times, recently so hard it drew blood from my ear and the Maggy was caught up in my helmet strap ! Having a flailing medium sized butcher bird on your shoulder whilst riding in traffic can really get your cadence numbers up

Plovers are certainly alarming when you go near their nests considering they are on the ground.

I was knocked out by a swooping magpie on a golf course. Came from behind...

Walking to school back in the early '80s my mate and I had to walk across a park called McIvor reserve and we'd always got swooped by magpies during the nesting season. We tried all sorts of things but the only thing that worked was if we each carried a golf club (7-irons) and waved them at the maggies when they swooped.

ANYWAY. We were trudging to school on the morning after the Headingley test in 1981 (when Australia lost after enforcing the follow on). We hadn't said a word when out of nowhere my friend yells "*!*!*!*!ing idiots. You and I could have *!*!*!*!ing done a better *!*!*!*!ing job then those useless *!*!*!*!s if we'd gone out to bat with these *!*!*!*!ing golf clubs!!!" and threw his golf club about 30 metres away.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

They intend to cause maximum damage. That sounds frightening!

                            Wow that's incredible.

If it makes anyone feel better I scored one for the good guys one day.

I was riding to work and there's a spot where I'd get swooped every mating season. As I was approaching it I saw a Magpie fly up into the tree to get to his vantage point. With a combination of luck and skill I was able to whip out my drink bottle and time it just right so that when he came in for the kill I nailed him with a squirt of water just as he got near. I'll never forget the funny sound it made.

Haven't seen any phntom drafts with Ewan McPherson or Cody Raak in them. That bodes well for us. Getting both as Cat B rookies would be outstanding, expecting Raak to slip at least

I don't understand how McPherson could be a cat B.

Isn't that reserved for NGA and alternate pathways?
