MacPherson would be Cat A if he was not bid on. Raak & Khamis would be the maximum of 2 Cat B rookies, owing to the new list sizes. Three clubs (at least) wanted to see him at the combine, so he must be on a few radars. Both as rookies would be a good get. In that event, we could go just with JUH and look to trading out picks for next year, hopefully Pick 26 could be in play to get a 2021 Second Rounder in JUH slips enough. Then look at a DFA (Jetta etc.) or grabbing an extra rookie. I guess it all depends where we think he is in the pecking order. I just read they're (the AFEL) expecting around 55 picks for the entire draft. So there's an opportunity to try to get more picks in the 50's if they're not going to be used, now we can collect as many as we like. Going to be interesting to see what chess moves Power is going to make.

Is Khamis category A or B? Wasn't all the talk at the time that we inexplicably took him as a category A rookie?

Mike is Alec Waterman someone we should be looking at?

Axe Man we're going over this an another three. The list was at its maximum, plus Khamis was around extra to the maximum. My best guess he was elevated to Cat A and then reverted back to Cat B. Although he'd most likely gotten the same Money and could've been elevated with a LTI. With McLean injured that give an opportunity for him to get elevated again and a rookie to replace McLen until match fit.

Well, his first shot at it was ruined by chronic fatigue...he was pretty exciting this season playing mostly forward for Claremont (won their B&F)...

+1 for McDonald. I know Thilthorpe is from SA, but is it even a contest?

A more intriguing question would be JUH v McDonald.

                            For me, it's McDonald

This is key. It's nice to think we get a FS bargain if MacPherson is there as a rookie, but for me it's only a bargain as long as we are picking him because he is the best player available in his role - not just because he's a father son.
