Do you think the club would pass up a top 3 talent like that? Sanders fits our list better right now for sure and all our tall marking targets are young so it makes some kind of sense but... big call

Gettable is on at 2PM today on state media. Dom Milesi is on the show for anyone interested or who hears what he might have to say (other than nothing for 5 minutes with cards close to his chest).

        ESPN Late mail:

        Sanders
        Pick 14 for Croft
Lual to Essendon at Pick 36
Apparently we are very heavy into Freijah

Freijah looks promising... but isn't he very similar to Poulter?

Don’t know enough about him. ESPN just reckon we are clearly into him late in the piece (or our interest seems more apparent now).

              Re: 2023 Draft Watch

I don't hate it. Let's be real none of our wingers are certainties to be best 22 wingers in 2-3 years time (though Williams at least has a contract to be at the club that long). If this guy ends up being better than Baker, Poulter, Williams, Scott, Jones or whoever else we throw there in desperation then I won't be shedding tears. If Poulter and this guy both come good as well as Jones or Williams I can live with that as a problem to have.

It's not like we've invested much capital in Poulter anyway as a MSD pickup or Baker who I think we signed up free.

If Croft goes at 14, and we were keen on Lual, can you foresee any viable path we may have to getting in front of Essendon's pick 36 (if they're the most likely suitor?)

If Croft goes before Rogers, at about 15, then perhaps we could try to package our two picks in the (then) 40’s for GCS then pick 34. But that’s one behind Essendon still. But there’s a good kid available here. I think Lual isn’t worth getting too invested in. He probably goes before we can get him, or we get a nice surprise. We’ve taken in way more points than we need for Croft so maybe Power knows something…

As I’ve said this week the live trading will be fascinating. Croft at 15, McCabe ideally before but seems a stretch, but Rogers after Croft is probably the nucleus of some better moves opening up.

stronger, probably quicker and dangerous around goal. Can also play inside mid and has even lined up at Full Forward

Don't think we'll see Poulter taking marks like that despite being similar height

He reminds me just a bit of Bedendo.

Rookie me Central did a phantom draft and had us taking Watson and Croft going at 15.
