Thinking the same. Don't rate him that much.

You need to look a bit deeper and not really count rookie and cat B. The list numbers don't necessarily tell the story and in my opinion we have to hit the National draft harder than we have and yes taking some chances later on is okay.
Sure we've had some father son and NGA considerations but we have been very loyal to marginally talented players for too long.

Bulldogs list update: Taylor Duryea & Lachie McNeil

The Western Bulldogs have committed to re-drafting pair Taylor Duryea and Lachie McNeil in the upcoming draft period after both were delisted today.

Duryea has so far played 192 games across both Hawthorn and the Bulldogs, winning two premierships in that period.

The 32-year-old played 20 matches in 2023, averaging 12 touches and four marks per game.

McNeil joined the red, white and blue via the Rookie Draft in 2020, playing 42 games during three seasons.

These changes to the playing list will provide flexibility leading into the National and Rookie Drafts in November.

All AFL clubs were required to submit their first list lodgement to the AFL on Tuesday October 31, before finalising lists in the coming weeks.

That's savvy list positioning. We've had a good off season so far with our decision making.

Does that therotically mean that another club could draft them? How does that work?

I thought it would have been Bedendo rather than Duryea for the delist and redraft but same result either way. I guess Bedendo signs a 1 year extension and stays on the primary list.

Yes but really there is minimal chance of that happening.

So how many senior and rookie list spots do we have (assuming Bendendo signed onto the main one)?

Nobody knows. If only somebody could keep track of that kind of information in a dedicated thread...

Yes, in theory another team could draft them but it's highly unlikely that either player would do a physical for another side.

I have previously listed our delistings and taken into consideration rookies etc and it averages around 8. Some years higher and some lower.

                            Stop complaining.
Stop putting out half baked coded messages.
Just do something about it and fix it.

Haha. I actually looked at it but I don't know how many senior list spots you are allowed now. Maybe google?
