They would be silly not to especially if they dont get Franklin. That leaves Melborne with the same decision and if they pass on him then he will go to the Saints who would snap him up.

I just saw a clip on Jaksch he is a very good one grab mark , beautiful hands and quite mobile , looked a bit thin wonder if he has bulked up a bit and lost any mobility , will try and look at him on weekend, think its his first game isn't it ?

1st game yup and I bet they play him in the backline. Such a waste, the guy is a natural forward. Hope they are playing him as trade bait.

As it appears now it looks like Boyd, Aish and Scharenburg are to go top 3. If we remain in 15th pick 4 looks to be out of Billings or Kelly.

However, i am interested to hear the thoughts of those following this years draft crop on Bontempelli?? KM over on BF is really rating him as the 2nd best talent in the draft with plenty of upside. Im not sure why he is rated lowly on most other draft guides (AFL.com.au etc) considering this. Is it worth taking him at our pick over say Billings or Kelly?

My feeling is number one pick will be traded to either Carlton or Collingwood and they will pick Boyd.

The boffins always differ. Jono Marsh is rated no 5 by one, a mid-second round pick by another.

Maybe if they arent planning on taking Boyd anyway, they may as well trade it away? Possibly still get what they want but get some free doodies thrown in.

Only thing is Melbourne dont need Boyd either.

                  Which leaves the Saints

                    Boyd won't slip to 3.

GWS will take him if Franklin stays put, or if they land him. I know they have Patton, but after doing a knee he's now a liability. If Boyd and Patton are evenly matched after 2014, they'll trade Patton for another player of need. They're going to be rubbish for another few years, they can afford to test them against each other.

If they don't take Boyd they'll trade the 1st pick away. The value they'll get in players and or picks will over-compensate the pick 1 outlay. They'd be stupid not to take it.

Melbourne would take him. Hogan hans't played a senior game yet, and it's likely Watts will leave. Clark has significant injury history and might end up rucking.

I highly doubt he'll fall to the Saints.
                    TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

This whole trade the 1st pick is all smoke and mirrors.

Would anyone be too annoyed if we picked up Willie Wheeler?

I've heard this Ben Brown character a few times now. Whats the story on him? Age, height, position, etc?

He is a Key Position Player I would say he would be 21 or 22 Big Boy Who can take a Good grab and is a good kick for goal
