Watched Werribee and Collingwood VFL yesterday and really Hope we Pick Up Ben Brown From Werribee this kid can really play noticed Jason McCartney having a good look at him yesterday

Or was McCartney looking at the other 40 odd blokes there?

There seems to be a big boom on this Bontempelli kid. I have a feeling he will end up Top 5 which puts us in the frame. Anyone one got a handle on him?

He looked a link up player off half back in the championships.
Very quiet early in the game I saw, but played better later.
Seems a good size

Its funny, i have complete faith in our recruiting now. Since Macca and his team came in we have nailed the draft so im going to be happy with whoever they choose say it be Billings, Kelly or Bontempelli and be confident they made the right choice

I'm 90 percent the same. Then I think of the linkages we've had with Bate, Prismall, Nahas and offering pick 21 for Dawes. And I sweat... In fairness the only aweful move we've made was the Howard before Pittard, Gunston, Sydney's Reid, Fyfe, Menzel, Bastinac, Carlile call that Dalrymple led in '09. Assuming Grant continues on you have to go back to the misery of '06 to find another howler (I still say Cordy makes it as a ruck/forward) and that was before anyone involved now had any say anyway. I'm just slightly scared Dalrymple will reach still but he's had a good few years it would seem.

Would anyone be too annoyed if we picked up Willie Wheeler?

He can play, gets tons of the ball but maybe doesn't fit the 'cracks in' type that our coach likes.

If all anyone does is crack in then you end up playing like we did from 2012-mid 2013. If we're ready to add parts rather than teach to a sole mantra then I think he has a place in our side.

Only capped at 120, not 80 as in the NAB Cup trial

Interesting point. Not sure, works in has favour though.

I can see why but I think it certainly increases the value of having versatile players that can play a range of positions too, and I'm not sure if Kelly can do that as well as a few others who may be around the mark. Bontempelli and Sheed can do that.
