Thoughts on the Box Hill Rioli fiasco? Seems to me pretty disrespectful by the Hawks to the Box Hill players.

They used the rules to best prepare the senior side. We would have done exactly the same.

Best 4 weeks and 3 games I've attended ever. The WO final was special. The Pre-Lim was a quality win. Today was killer.

I hope the club does something nice and profitable with unveiling the flag next year.

Read this in The Age:

The Hawks' decision to play Cyril Rioli was vindicated by a supreme eight-minute burst in the third term, contributing to two goals with deft taps to Ben Ross and Sam Collins. He also got through the game unscathed, testing his hamstring out on more than one occasion, although at times he looked out of touch. He was taken off at three-quarter-time as a precaution.

Great day for the club and a real filip going forward.
Thought the crowd were extraordinary, and I could envisage if the big dance arrives our fans scaling the MCG walls.
Just shows when we are up and about people rock up ( saw people today I hadn't seen in ages)
Of course not all our list are going to get there, but the ones who do , that game will be great for their future careers .
Well done to the club and congrats to all involved .

For sure. To take a team that didn't exist a year ago to a premiership in a very senior competition is an outstanding coaching effort.

I hope he is contracted for next year.

Security held him until the second siren and then let him go. The security seemed to be very friendly today.

It would have been great if Bont and Macrae and Hunter and Hrovat could have played in something like this on one hand and great that we've got 4 more blokes we have given a taste of what a premiership feels like.

I thought Austin was a super contributor today. Lots of desperate spoils and making ground to half contests when he was out of position. Definitely in my best.

Yep. I saw 2-3 minutes of slight errors and 77-78 minutes of hard bloody yakka.
