Thanks for commentating the game. I was at the ground so this is the first time Ive read it. It's good stuff.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Just starting to watch this game on I view. A guy I've liked this finals series is Fogahrty. Can't remember him early in the season but was impressed with what he did late. I remember a guy I sit near at the footy said we should rookie him. What are Woofers thoughts on him? #57 for those not sure who he is.

        1st quarter notes.

Young had a shocking quarter. Kicked a great goal to tie it up.
Grant was good. 1st and last shot were howlers. His 2nd shot was a pretty tough one.
        Greenwood excellent so was Campbell.
Umpiring really did not give us much. Thought the same on the day.
        Rioli love is sickening.
Box Hill played a lot better than I remembered. We did well to fight back in the last few minutes to tie it up.

I thought Fogarty did some good things. He also has a good kicking style and can roost it a long way.

            2nd quarter

4 hour sleeps per night caught up and got the better of me.

All over the Hawks most of the quarter. Disappointing to drop the lead quickly.
            Goodes and Jong really dominant.
Jones worked his way into it after struggling early.
Tutt kicked a ripper early in the 2nd.

I'll back track a bit tomorrow and see what I missed. Night guys.

Fogarty played a negating role throughout the finals and did it quite well. Tough inside mid, couldn't imagine him getting a go at the higher level but I guess stranger things have happened.

I also was impressed with Fogarty. Lovely kick on him. Wonder if he is a relation of the Fogarty who played at Yarraville in the VFA. He was a great kick too.

Agreed. I thought Grant played really well. I think he often gets a harsh rap in the VFL because a lot of what he does is unobtrusive, quick handballs or tap-ons that you often only see on the replay. He's such a smart footballer and we need him in the senior side from round 1 next year.

Just viewed the first half and thought Grant was outstanding in the first quarter, but dropped away a bit. Peter German summed it up beautifully when he said Grant just needs to finish his work off consistently, and that he has all the tricks.

The umpiring seemed pretty lopsided towards the Hawks I thought.
                          TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Could have been TD. Kicked a lot of goals at full forward.

I remember Mark Fotheringham very well. And his brother Pat. I think I saw almost every game he played at Yarraville.

I've seen the name on draft lists and wondered too.
