Now that's sent me shooting down memory lane, my god I loved Monkey! Nothing quite like running around the backyard in the late 80's/early 90's pretending to summon your cloud with Monkey's signature method (which cannot be described in print here without sounding a bit filthy... which it's not!).

Speaking of 80's TV shows, there's one that I remember vaguely about a spherical alien being that was living in a kids wardrobe and I think it was called Chochie or something similar.

Does anyone have a single clue about what I'm referring to?

* Bake Off new season - All4

* Finished Des - also on ABC

I have continued to watch Ted Lasso. Just finished season 2 - 9, weird episode concentrating on the coach.

Have you watched The Chestnut Man on Netflix yet? Highly recommend if you are into your typical dark Danish / Scandinavian detective show.

Collateral on Netflix, ( Cary Mulligan TV series not Tom Cruise Movie) is a little slow, however excellent acting and enjoyable.
Like most series made now, its stretched out and could have been compressed into fewer episodes.

What to report........I can understand why all the fans were so upset. What they did with the last series was uninspired and lazy in the extreme. The episodes were far too long, and just didn't have enough actual content, instead they dragged. This made sitting up until half four watching overnight particularly savage, but I needed to get it done with and the new TV and sound bar had arrived during the week and I wanted to take them for a spin.

Agree totally with your summation. I think the last 2-3 seasons did not need to happen. As other posters alluded to they brought in Hollywood directors to finish it off, and they literally finished it off.

I am so glad I didn't spend a few hundred bucks on the box set as I would have felt ripped off.
