Re: What are you watching at the moment
I've started watching Back to Life on SBS. Absolutely loving it so far.
Also have enjoyed the 2nd season of War of the Worlds.
This Way Up on Stan is also very good.Park that car
Drop that phone

Re: What are you watching at the moment
similar concept to Westworld, but without the full on violence.
Side note, Katherine Parkinson stars in the new Aussie comedy Spreadsheet. It's better to die on our feet than live on our knees.Comment

Re: What are you watching at the moment
I've been a busy boy (well actually not buys, thus churn of TV shows).
Recently finished Westworld S3 and was expecting it to be much harder to get through than it was, and actually really enjoyed it. The level of production is pretty slick.
Finished Squid Game over the weekend and really liked it. Interesting a culture that could devour The Hunger Games and rave about it could be shocked by Squid Games, but we're a fickle bunch.
The Wire S2 and S3 both delivered. Will keep getting through the rest of it.
And for something light, I've started Curb Your Enthusiasm from the beginning and it's delivering the nostalgic vibes.TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment

Re: What are you watching at the moment
If you liked Squid game and don't mind watching anime (not the usual style of animation though) maybe give Kaiji a go.
It is...very similar. To the point that I'd be surprised if the creators didn't have it as a major influence.
This is an idea of the style BTW

Re: What are you watching at the moment
I've been ripping through series on an industrial scale, and can now say I've also knocked over the full five seasons of The Wire.
Pretty special TV show. Really raw, and I think the last season in the way it finished caught the churn/ cyclical nature of the machine really well, with the cynical, horrible and predictable changing of the guard parallels.TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment

Each time my favourite character changes, last time around Marlo was my favourite.
I’ve seen it in its entirety a few times now and actually started watching S1 again this week. Each time watching you pick up different things.
To think S1 is nearly 20 years old and S5 is over ten years old and is still relevant today.More of an In Bruges guy?Comment

Jee, not sure I’ve said it but it’s my favourite show of all time.

Re: What are you watching at the moment
A lot of the characters are great and the names they use kick arse (Proposition Joe belongs to a character in a classic old western and he'd be my favourite character if it were just based on names) but in my opinion Omar is the greatest character in a TV show fullstop. Brother Mouzone is pretty good too.
Even the pitiful characters like Prez (who isn't really pitiful) have excellent arcs. While some others just turn out to be plain old boring/ ineffective like Daniels who was ultimately stuck in a quagmire of incompetence, corruption and his own compromises in his quest to clime the ladder.TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment
