Yep but that still doesn't make it right.

The part at the optometrist was funny, vintage Larry, but some of the other stuff wasn't great from my perspective.
I know he intentionally treads a fine line but that one was a bit harder to watch for me.

Urrgghh, that reminds me. Years ago when I was a kid we were playing a match and the batsman got hit fair square on the box by the opening bowler.

The batsman adjusted himself and played out the over but in between said he was still really sore to us (keeper and slips as we walked past him changing ends) the keeper stopped and had a quick look and realised there were blood stains between his legs! So we undid his pants to check and realised that his box had cracked with the impact and part of his foreskin was stuck in the crack.

I don't know how he got through it but I almost passed out when I saw what had happened.

I thought it was some of his best work, the way it all tied together.

I get it's a very sensitive subject but I feel personally he deals with it perfectly.

The way he gets Woody to take the mick out himself too, it's just amazing writing.

I think we have to have satire like that otherwise we become too insular and comedians really are the kings of hitting a particular sub culture hard in the right way.

Calling him a racist c&*ksucker for eg, bagging Tucson and Arizona etc these are the punches he weaves in between his metaphorical turning the other cheek.

Leon and the watermelon too. I had tears.

"who told you to have a watermelon orgy!?"

Remember the Seinfeld "not that's there's anything wrong with that" was pretty out there for the time as homosexuality was certainly not accepted as it is nowadays.

Edit : not that racism ever will be of course and it's clearly absolutely abhorrent, I was more speaking about walking that line.

Was hinting more along general Jewish lines.

Maybe the Seinfeld episode The Moyle is fitting (s5e5)

It is a bit like when I was growing up and it was ok to call each other wogs, but any anglo called us wogs they were gone.

We used to play wogs vs. skips in footy at primary school. Dunno if you could pick teams along those lines as overtly these days.

Went out for drinks with ex-colleagues last week, one of whom is greek and another Italian. The former's daughter has just turned eighteen and the latter asked what would happen if she brought a ...... home and the answer wasn't flash. When asked about bringing a ...... home it escalated and I was pretty shocked.
                            TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.
