To be honest what I saw of it Orlando were not playing that bad, they got the looks the ball just didn't fall. The Lakers need to tighten up because once those jitters go and they will by game 2. Those 3 balls were start raining down. Orlando need to work hard on the defensive end also. Battie will help, don't know why he's hardly got a run in the playoffs.
All that being said LA were fantastic at the other end as hard as it is for me to say.
Yeah Orlando looked nervous once Kobe started making his shots. Our defending wasn't bad and we limited every player bar one. If Kobe keeps shooting like that there will not be a lot that we can do. Mind you as G-Mo said those 3 balls should start raining in with less nerves. Did Rashard even hit a shot?
Not very good figures. I still think Orlando will win. You have a great inside-outside game that should get you across the line. If it comes to game 7 though, Lakers are a lot more experienced and should win. So for your sake lets hope its over in game 5-6.
I thought the Magic looked good in Game 2, why couldn't have Lee made that shot! I still see LA winning this one. I think Orlando needed to sneak away with one in the first 2 to win this series. I hope I am wrong!
. Ironically rumours aboud of Shaq going to the Cavs.
There were rumours about Shaq heading over to the Cavs towards the end of the trade period. The trade was going to involve Wally Sczerbiak's expiring $13-14 million contract. We opted to keep Wally instead. I wouldn't say no to Shaq, as long as he doesn't come at the expense of JJ Hickson.
If you are a Cavs fan you shouldn't say no to Shaq regardless of what he costs (bar LBJ obviously)
So you'd trade Mo Williams and Delonte West for him? (plucking out random examples, the salaries would have to align). Shaq's 37 years old. I'd much rather the Cavs trade for a nice 1st round pick to ensure we're competitive for a long time.
This article suggests we're looking at trading Ben Wallace (thinking of retiring) and Sasha Pavlovic for Shaq. I'd like for this trade to happen. As long as Ben Wallace and Shaq aren't on the same team. Combined they'd be too much of a liability with free throws.
They reckon we have a great chance of signing Ioannis Bourousis. He's 6-11, 247 lbs. He averaged 12.5 points and 7.4 rebounds in the Euroleague last year for Olympiacos.
WE GOT SHAQ!!!!!!!! Great deal from our side of things. Lets hope he can keep up the form and bring Cleveland a Championship. Congrats to Patty Mills, who got drafted to the Portland Trail Blazers.
There's a lot going on in the NBA atm. So many players are switching teams probably due to the GFC. Some owners want to shed salary.
Ariza- Lakers to Rockets
Artest- Rockets to Lakers
Gordon- Chicago to Detroit (unlucky JH40)
Villaneuva- Bucks to Detroit (shattered about that one, would of looked good with the Cavs)
Turkoglu- Orlando to Raptors.
There'll be a lot more moves. Interesting to watch, but the lack of loyalty between players/franchises ruins the whole thing a bit for me. It's why AFL is better.
