I think the 'I' is for Ireland but Italy make more than a good case for it either way.

I think the 'I' represents both Ireland and Italy.

Yeah I went with Spain too but if the Italians get up Lygon Street will be buzzing.

I'm getting Paolo Rossi flashbacks. The Italians will win and Melbourne will be caught up in the Lygon experience.

Spain 2-0 up at the half. Goals to Silva and Alba. Look unbeatable with the control of the midfield.
Italy tried hard between the goals but a couple of Spanish passes have cut them to pieces.

Nice win to Spain, enjoyable game to watch. Great to see a couple of Chelsea stars put the icing on the cake.

And Torres Golden Boot for the tournament.

A masterclass from Spain. Their passing and vision in traffic is unbelievable. Far too good today. What a generation of players. They are a pleasure to watch.

Hard to see them getting beaten in Brazil too.

The second goal was a killer.
The left back run from defence right to the goal face with no one following. No need for a striker.
In Italian terms, Chiellini had a shocker early, fortunately injury got him.
Abate didn't chase his opposite number in Alba.
Once the 3rd sub Thiago Motta did his hammy within 5 minutes of being on the game was over. 10 men for the last 30 minutes.

Possibly the formation was poor. They played 3 at the centre of defence in the 1-1 group round game compared to 2 last night.

Spain deserved it so it's no argument.

From what the posters have said as I didn't watch the match Spain is very strong and going to be hard to beat at the next tournament they are involved. Euro 2008 champions, 2010 World Cup champions and now Euro 2012 champions. Not bad at all for Spain.

2014 WC is a long way in football terms.
Spain have their poor games. At home, Brazil might be under more pressure but I doubt they be bad.
