Follow the kid everywhere until he signs.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I'd be shocked if we're not into him, and if Hrovat leaves to bring him in, I'd be happy

It's refreshing to hear that someone wants out of there rather than everyone wanting in.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

If true, Hawks are still in the drivers seat. He is contracted till end of 2016.

Only mentioned his name a few days ago funnily enough. I would love him at the club. I'm unsure what Hawthorn would want.

I'm the opposite. Tired of hearing kids a year or two in complaining about lack of opportunity. Hawks are starting to age and he could be apart of something big but instead wants to leave. This generation wants everything now, nothing wrong with paying your dues and getting reward for it.

What I don't get is that players like Anderson, McCarthy from GWS sign multi year deals and then mid contract decide they want to leave.

Why sign multi year deals? It just makes things so much harder, to then get to the club of choice.

They sign the ling deals because their managers advise them to do so. A couple of years later they realise they can get more elsewhere so if it happens to be a home team making that offer they then have some leverage.

Dangerfield is leaving for the right reasons but for many others it's often a financial decision

Anderson > Suckling? Should our focus change? Like the eye of Sauron shifting from one target to another?

Same. He is lucky he didn't play in the Tuck era for Hawthorn when it wasn't unusual to play 4 or 5 years in the reserves before you get your senior opportunity. Tuck did.

I don't think the two are mutually exclusive, with Grant and Talia seemingly gone we have the two vacant spots on the list so have a bit of flexibility. My issue is we'd be adding a midfielder and a half back without addressing any of our more pressing holes

I agree, as GVGjr said, you trade to plug holes and both these players (Anderson & Suckling) are not what we really need.

I don't believe Suckling and Grant are competing for the same spot either. They are totally different players.
