Carlton are apparently chasing a number of GWS players. This time Tomlinson is apparently on their radar.

They had a good draft and got lucky that Joel Selwood fell through to their pick and made out like bandits under the old third round pick for father sons. The media still think they haven't delisted a player in the last decade. They just retire as champions with a lap around the ground at halftime in the back of a Ford Ute.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I've heard reported, Phillips, Plowman, Sumner, Lamb and now Tomlinson. Talk about taking the mickey. Any chance Silvangi could be overeating his old team's players?

So Silvagni isn't actually doing anything but ringing his ex draft picks, ones that are struggling at a fledgling club and saying come here.

Just read that the Bombers are wanting pick 5 for Carlisle. No surprises there.

The Saints will insist on a more reasonable compensation.

I could see them getting it with Carlton throwing a pick back to them.

Why would Carlton throw them a pick?

Oops. I'm not sure why I typed that. I meant the Bombres.

I can't get over how many teams are being reported as showing interest in Jeremy Howe.
He's never struck me as a good footballer. It's now being speculated on that GCS will offer pick 3 for Howe and Melbourne's pick 6.
North and the Pies are also interested.

                        What am I missing?

There's only a handful of clubs that could be used to trade down to an acceptable and reasonable pick. We are one of those clubs with 11, I hope we simply explore what they might want reasonably to facilitate it. Then if a) we are willing and b) Dalrymple or Macca have something they think is special, then go for it I say. The chance to have pick 5 or have the trading currency of a trade a top 5 pick for gun players might be a long way off happening based on my projection of us going up the ladder.

Highlight reels on Sunday Morning footy shows. Outside of that, he an over rated glorified average league footballer. Melbourne should take whatever they can get and run.

I'd say there is a consistent AFL player trapped in that body, but it hasn't been able to come out due to the wretched gameplans of both Neeld and Roos.
