Meanwhile they have told Oliver and May to look else where, plus they are losing other players like Spargo.
This is a real cleanout.
Just on this, with the demons publicly saying they will pay half of Olivers wages, he is an absolute bargain, likely around 600k per year with the demons paying the rest. Personally im up for that, he would change our side significantly.

Seems like a clean out of distracted players.
Re Oliver, he was told that he would have to modify his game to fit into the side and that he could be playing VFL.
I guess they also added if he wasn't prepared to do that he could look elsewhere.
His substantial contract could be a challenge for clubs.

I read somewhere that Richmond's second pick (3 - will end up being 4 after Allen compo) could be on the table for a later first and a future first. Now our pick might be too far back for their liking but hypothetically if the tigers were keen would we do that?
The major issue is whether we need next years first for something in particular that rhymes with nutters.

Also Levi West, may need some decent points there as well.
GCs cap must be busting at the seams, I don’t even know how they can afford Trac tbh. if they want to have a real crack next year we really should be offering to pay all of Jamarras contract for a REAL return. It’s a no brainer for both teams, providing GC truly believes he can turn it around which sounds like they do.
None of this DFA absolute tripe, tell them we will happily keep him on our list. If you want your free hit at a #1 pick FF then pay up and we’ll cover the salary which is much more important to them than first round picks

Did you listen to Michael Regan on the Danny/Boyd podcast? He explained how every club has money now with the salary cap increases. They are also offloading Flanders who is on decent coin.
I've seen you mention this a couple times now Gary, are you aware of names that haven't yet been linked? Or are you just basing it off the reasoning of "we're having a red hot crack, something will shake loose"? Not after names or anything like that if the former, I'm just curious as to where you're getting that confidence from.
Just with some names that have been mentioned to me.
Butters was/is the main target but that door will either open a bit or close tightly soon.
We were clearly a bit behind it with Wilkie who was always more than happy to stay at the Saints if they gave him some incentive and they did.
Budarick was always one of the main targets and he's now nominated us.
I didn't quite understand our interest in Robertson.
We thought we had Silvagni in the bag but got out bid by the Saints in the end but I think we have some contingencies there.
We have also had some more players touring the WO in recent days and that hasn't made it into the media.
I get people get a bit triggered when we aren't linked to the big name players but another one or two names will come forward soon.
I had a call from a mate going berserk that we have in theory landed Budarick when our main priorities are tall defenders.
Now that he understands Budarick will replace Duryea and how important that was for the club to fill he's more contented
This will all happen soon enough and we should be confident that they club will get some deals done.
