    Ben Long supposedly gettable. Interested?

If we could turn 7 and Adams into Wingard and Long would people be happy with the trade period?

If Adams went for the draft point trade equal to pick 25. Then we use the Dahl compo pick 27 as trade currency. Long is probably the best player in that pick 27 range. Having Picko & Dicko likely retire next year, Long could be a handy longer term addition to the forward line.

      Answer: Yes.

Brian Waldron is shithouse with basic maths and salary caps but he tends to have decent mail - he reckons the Hawks are right into Tom Scully.

              Scully & Wingard.

So we are the only fools adhering to the salary cap?

Think Scully's extended contract (until 2021) has him back down to around $500k/year, which most clubs could certainly afford.

I heard that the tigers were also into Scully.

Seems Beams's missues wants to come back to Melbourne so he wants to go back to Collingwood, but given Brisbane are keen on Adams I would hope we are on the phone given that we play in the same town as Collingwood.

A way to harness this Beams thing is perhaps for Pies to trade their pick 18 odd to Brisbane for Beams.

We then trade Adams and perhaps a later pick (~48?) to Brisbane for pick 18..?

                            Just a starting point thought.

Ok, so there's a lot left to play out.

The landscape is shifting all the time.

We can engineer some 3/4 way trades and get our grubby little fingers into some of these deals.

                              My fantasy is

IN. Wingard (or gun with pick 7), Jack Martin, West, Khamis, steak knives.

OUT. Dalhaus, Adams, Honeychurch, and (maybe) Roughead,

I'm living in cuckoo cloud land aren't I

The Suns have said Jack Martin is completely off the table - we have heard that before.
