We are interested in May for sure but won’t publicly commit after the Wingard situation.

On a side note, interesting to see that GWS are playing hardball with Essendon re Shiel.

Notable with Jason McCartney returning the favour that Adrian Dodoro gave him re Stringer last year.
Strange to find myself offering McCartney the best of luck..! Hopefully he sticks to his guns. Dodoro’s painful.

How badly do we need him? Assuming Adams is gone is having the likes Cordy, Naughton, Trengove, Lewis, Morris, Wood and Roberts already in place enough for us?
Cordy - Outmuscled against the big boys.
Naughton - Same, and really needs to be freed up to extract best use of his skills
Trengove - Who's to say he won't be rucking half the time? Serviceable otherwise.
Lewis - Who knows? Nor where we'll play him? Still a sapling.
Morris - Dale's beyond getting plonked onto the gorillas by default these days, surely.
Wood - Not sure he belongs in this group.
Roberts - Has he been reported missing yet? We know we can't rely on him.

What I'm saying is YES, we very definitely need a player in May's mould.

He'll do his job, and free up others to do theirs.

I have 0 links apologies just reading between the lines. It’s gonna require Hogan to stay at the Dees though which sounds unlikely still.

Thanks. I was wondering if there was something behind the speculation we are interested or at least serious about him.

I just caught a small portion of it but did I just hear that May is most likely linked to going to Melbourne? It appears we might have dropped out the discussion

Wow May wants out. Trade radio stating he will join any Victorian club.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Pity we don’t have the balls to go hard, or at the last minute May would say any but the dogs

Little mention of the Dogs outside of Dogs fans and Ricky Nixon. Has always been reported as Melbourne or nothing though May himself seems to be leaving it open. We might be plan B.

What constitutes going hard? What would you pay? What's your pitch?

Melbourne is offering (presumably) pick 5 and finals right now.

                                Re: The Trade Period

Ok, melb don’t have pick 5 yet, so right now pick 7 is the best GC could get. It’s like we are sitting back waiting for Neale to go to lions and hogan going to Freo and pick 5 to melb....FFS, we have pick 7 right now, we have a great up and coming list, we won a premiership 2016.

It seems like we had all our eggs in the wingard basket, and we don’t seem to have the nous to think on our feet, and just seem to wait to see how it all unfolds.

May has so called just came out and stated any vic club, so are we on the phone right now, with pick 7 in hand? Answer, probably not.

Our recruiters etc are weak minded, and that’s already been shown this draft paying a 60’s pick for Lloyd, where north get hall for peanuts.
