Some other club will try and make it look like a foolish delisting decision by Carlton and I wish that club well

FWIW, I think Carlton would listen to offers for Dow, spots are tight for them and if they have a better experience with injuries next season there might be a few decent players stuck in their 2nds.
Carlton extended his contract another year in May, but I read somewhere there were clubs willing to make him an offer. Marc Murphy has come out saying he should listen to offers.

I think Dow could still turn into a decent footballer.

Didn't we do something similar with Vespremi for Everitt.

No because Vez just needs a run of games and he might still come good.

Will Setterfield has been made to wait for a new contract till end of trade period. Sounds like Carlton are happy to lose him.

Is Tom Mitchell a possible replacement for Josh Dunkley?
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

I wouldn’t have thought so… we already have Macrae who plays the ‘accumulator’ role.

Carlton need to pay Curnow and McKay, and they still need to pay Williams, Martin and McGovern on hefty contracts for another year or two. They shelled out a lot for Cerra and they will also have to find extra money for De Koning.

Setterfield was excellent in R23 against Collingwood. If we were to lose Dunks, I love the moneyball idea of Setterfield - inside mid is his go and he's not going to replace Cripps/Walsh any time soon. Scenario is not dissimar to Freo getting Will Brodie on the cheap to replace Cerra, which has been a massive success.

Mitchell does tackle and gets high contested numbers.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

I like Setterfield big body and has played good football since 2020.

I'm actually ok this suggestion. Defensive minded mid, just the age.

Will be 30 next year. Do we need another mid?
