I'm not saying you're wrong but which ones?

Not WA. Not SA. Not VC.

They're the ones I watched live. I'm just fascinated by this narrative.

I can tell you pretty much without reservation that the WA boys for next year (06) are potentially the lowest talent group coming through I have ever seen...
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

I'm not so sure he's worth much more than a F3.
I watched him a bit live during his first couple of years and he looked very vanilla and slow.

I'd be underwhelmed if we got him for anything to be honest.
More of an In Bruges guy?

I'd prefer Billings to Coffield but they are both injury prone so you would want trade price and contract price to be comparable to their output over the last few years.

To me, they can keep him then if they don?t want a third and fourth. If he has another injury riddled year he?s worthless. That?s their risk. If he wants to come to the club he grew up supporting just come out and say he?s playing for us. Don?t do medicals at other clubs. Let the PSD sit there. Then I think a third and fourth sounds pretty good, especially if they have a salary cap saving and can use the picks in other moves. I?m not sold on him, or his body, so he needs to be cheap for mine.

They may ask for me but we shouldn't give them anything other than a 4th. They guys last played when? 2 years ago? Out of contract, an injury riddled career, I'd be disappointed if we gave up anything with points attached. I'd rather him stay there and draft our own.

Agree he's an underwhelming player. Are we thinking he'd be the Duryea replacement?

Clearly has talent though, so if we can get him on the cheap wouldn't be against it. A late second/early third maybe about right.

                  Re: Early Trade Rumours 2023

How do you compare an injury prone Nick Coffield to an injury prone Toby McLean, Roarke Smith or Tim O'Brien?
"I'll give him a hug before the first bounce and then I'll run into my pack and give them orders to rip him apart."

By not offering any of them contracts.

My wording was poor, I mean of all the representative and Coates league sides, there are multiple playing underage midfields. For the representative teams, this is the case for Vic Metro. The midfield depth in this years draft is very poor, as evidenced by Twomeys latest draft rankings.

I agree, he's only worth something to us if we can get him for a decent trade. I suspect they'll chip in some more to keep him.

Billings was quite durable until 2 years ago - 11 games over the last two years, including a sub and a subbed off game.
I think he'd still cost more than the value he'd provide.

Oakleigh starting midfield trio are all underagers - it does include Ashcroft mk 2 though.
This year seems a good one for defenders, and my own opinion (perhaps I'm an outlier) is that it's a good draft for wingman this year.
Wilson, Windsor, Freijah, de la Rue, etc etc. We'll pick on up at some point.

MJP have you seen much of Lance Collard from Subi to form an opinion on whether he's a viable prospect? From the video highlights he looks electric...
