In regards to Mckercher, he may well help us win the premiership before any risk of going back home in 2028 for a premium. I wouldn't hesitate to pick him if we think he is the best player at pick 4 if we get it.

Tassie players are more likely to be overlooked 2 years before the side plays. I'd draft Tassie boys this year without hesitation.

Do you think there will be a Crows / Eagles type scenario with them? They were basically state sides early doors.
I wonder how that works under current rules.
Might be an initial draw to the team.

Any chance he last's to pick 4 if we get it from the GC? I think I would prefer him over Watson, we have already invested heavily forward of the ball. Watson does seem to have similar attributes to Weightman.

Yep been a fan since I saw him play underage last year, I just really like Mckercher's attributes which our midfield lacks.

I'd say the early order appears to be Reid, Walter and Curtain with Duursma, McKercher and Watson the next in line so there is a chance he is available. If Reid goes to WC then North should bid on Walter which will get matched and then they could probably select Curtain and Watson assuming they get pick 3 for McKay. They've got an emerging midfield so the key defender should appeal and they should like the forward craft of Watson knowing they they could also get access to Sanders who's a mid.
Hawks are right into Duursma.

So there is a fair chance that McKercher is available at pick 5 or 6.

Tom Clurey is probably on the outer but he's 30 in March and slightly undersized at 193cm.
