The question remains, why were the Danihers at the parents-only meeting when his son wasn't a listed player during the drug program?
You do worry that as a potential father son he was involved

The way they exited their former clubs all but confirmed it for many. In my eyes it actually redeemed them somewhat.

I'd be demanding that the payments to these players have to be part of the salary cap as well. If that is too late for this season then their cap next year should be reduced by what they spend over the cap this year.

The much bigger worry is that he was a minor under the care of the club during his time there the year before being drafted.

Yeah that's what I was trying to get at. I've been a stay at home dad for the past fortnight. Haven't held a conversation with an adult for more than 5 minutes in that time, brain is deteriorating

Haha! I remember that. I was a single dad for years.

Best thing/job/vocation I've ever done. But you do start to wonder if you will ever speak to another grown up sometimes.

If or when these player get done, what happens to Watson's Brownlow?

I would assume a large PR campaign on SEN and CH7 will kick things off, advocating for him to keep it. Robbo will get his cheerleader kit and pom poms out, and root for his team

Then the AFL will come up with some way of allowing him to keep it whilst awarding retrospective awards to Cotchin and Mitchell.

It taints all of them, not just Watson's. After all, what meaning has an award for the fairest and best, once given to a drug cheat?

The fairest bit in Fairest and Best explains that. When we bring in a juiced up and best medal we will get back to him.

                          You mean Watson*

He simply has to lose the Brownlow - it was won whilst on a systematic PED regime. Could care less how much of a nice guy Jobe is.

Essendon are in all sorts of trouble as it is, but if Joe Daniher is implicated it will add a whole layer of trouble for all concerned at the club. Will be very interesting to see if he is a late withdrawal from the first NAB Cup game with 'general soreness'

He wasn't on the list in 2012 so there's absolutely no reason for him to miss the first game - but I bet you he does anyway.

If he is one of the 34 and the charge is found proven there is no way that anyone could reasonably argue that he should retain the brownlow. No way in the world.

And unlike the situation with stripping of a premiership, there is a clear runner up (or in this case two runners up) that can be given the award without any issue. It would be no different to Chris Grant or Corey McKernan.

Suspension rules him ineligible. Cut and dry. Rules already there, suspension is for incident during the year so I'd say he's cooked if guilty.
