Totally agree josie , im hoping if Jamarra is disillusioned with football or the club , training with the Bont , gives me hope that training in a more relaxed atmosphere then the western oval with cameras everywhere , he will sooner or later make the decision if he wants to continue with his football career , fingers crossed .

Bulldogs star suffers abdominal injury in training

Bulldogs star Tim English has suffered an abdominal injury

WESTERN Bulldogs ruckman Tim English has suffered an abdominal injury that will keep him out of full training.

English, 27, sustained bruising to his abdominal area after a knock at training on Friday, the Bulldogs said.

The 2023 All-Australian is set to resume training on Tuesday, but will be on a modified program until symptoms improve.

The Bulldogs have ruled English out of a match simulation session in Noosa on Sunday.

It marks the second straight interrupted pre-season for English, who signed a five-year extension with the Bulldogs in August.

English dealt with migraine-related symptoms in January last year, but went on to play 23 games in 2024.

The Bulldogs will host Essendon in a match simulation on February 15 before taking on Hawthorn in the AAMI Community Series on February 27.

They begin their season against North Melbourne on March 15.

Scott was walking laps today at training in a knee brace. Didn’t appear to be limping at all.

After consulting specialists, the Club has opted for a minor surgical procedure to ensure a full recovery.

This injury will see Jason miss the early rounds of the season, with the 32-year-old expected to be back full training within the next 2-3 months.

Shame, he's really made some progress in recent weeks.
It didn't look good when he did it.

Bummer - somehow I see this is it for JJ.

If JJ pulls the pin now does that open up a second spot on the list to get someone in training and sign on before the season or we have to wait until the mid season draft?
With his injury history you would think the club might have a word being 32 and having trouble staying on the park.

I can't see him retiring as he's going to get paid for the season. If he were to retire, then a spot is open to be filled most likely at the Mid Season Draft as the SSP window closes in a couple of weeks.
