Lets add Scott and maybe Weightman to that list and it appears to have come in a rush.

Anyone have an update on Coffield? Tough call but if his body keeps failing him, maybe he should make way for Brew/Crossley

You can't really delist a contracted player.

Wouldn’t be the first player to get a tap on the shoulder. ‘Hey xxx, we appreciate your efforts, but we think it’s in everyone best interests….’
Player gets a paid holiday to assess career options post footy and club gets an open list spot. I’m not sure if it’s at the point with Coff, but his body has failed him for what, 4 years in a row and it’s not like his a guaranteed starter when fit

                41 Days til round 1.
Jones is an old Pro, and his history says he is a good healer.
Some enforced rest, he will be fine, by round 1, no big deal.

                  Shit now has got real.

Liam Jones to miss the start of the season with a high hamstring injury.

                  Eight to ten weeks out.

Jones will not be fine for Round #1 - he won't return to full training for 8-10 weeks!!!!

Western Bulldogs defender Liam Jones will miss the beginning of the 2025 Toyota AFL Premiership Season after sustaining a high-grade hamstring strain.

The 33-year-old suffered the injury during match simulation on the Sunshine Coast yesterday.

The injury will see Liam miss the upcoming Indigenous All Stars game on 15 February and the early rounds of the season.

It is estimated Jones will make a return to full training in 8-10 weeks.

Hamstings are becoming our Achilles heal
                        That's a tough one.

We can't blame Skinner reserve this year.

Anything you have picked up that they have done different this year G in regards to how they have trained this preseason?

More running and more match sim and match scenario's are about the only difference. The surface at the WO is sensational.

8-10 weeks. Blimey that is round 4/5 and by the time he is match fit probably round 6/7. Looks like Buzz Lightyear needs to step up.

Adjusting to a higher running volume and load takes time for players to properly absorb and gain the benefits. Older athletes, who typically recover more slowly, are at a higher risk of soft tissue injuries with such changes.

I’m no professional or expert, just a hobby jogger, but I can definitely relate. Even slight increases in my running volume or intensity always seem to take a toll on my body. The secret is to progress slowly and consistently, allowing the body time to adapt. Let’s hope the players who can handle the added load come out stronger for it.
