Interesting that we have 4 calf injuries this late in the season. And only weeks after we had a bye to reset.

Deep Heat Medical Room: Round 17
Liam Jones remains a test to return ahead of VFL and AFL games this weekend.
The tall defender has been battling general soreness and will need to get through main training this week before being available to return.
“Liam Jones’ general soreness from a heavy landing two weeks ago has continued to improve,” Head of Sports Medicine, Chris Bell said.
“If he gets through full training this week like I expect, his name will be back on the selection table.”
Michael Sellwood has been managed through the concussion protocols and could return via the VFL this weekend.
“Michael has progressed well within our concussion protocols. He still has some final boxes to tick across the next 48 hours but is in line to return to return to availability.”
Luke Kennedy will miss another week with some calf trouble.
“Luke has some low-level calf tightness. Being a young first year player, we won’t take any risks with Luke and will monitor him across the next week to determine when he returns to play.”

Western Bulldogs utility Harvey Gallagher has suffered a further setback, with scans confirming a bone stress injury to his foot.
Gallagher had recently been sidelined with a calf injury.
“During our match simulation training session on Saturday, Harvey developed some generalised ankle symptoms,” Bulldogs Head of Medical Services Chris Bell said.
“Scans have confirmed that he has a bone stress injury to his navicular bone.
“Harvey will consult with a surgeon this week to confirm if surgical management is needed to assist with his management.
“His rehabilitation plan and timeline will be confirmed across this week.”
James Harmes remains a test after falling ill, while Arthur Jones is closing in on a return from a hamstring complaint.
Pleasingly, the Bulldogs emerged from their AFL Round 18 match unscathed.FFC: Established 1883

Medical Room: Round 20
James O’Donnell will undergo a fitness test ahead of Friday’s clash with Essendon.
Western Bulldogs defender James O’Donnell will undergo a fitness test ahead of Friday’s match against Essendon.
The 22-year-old injured his ankle late in the loss to Brisbane, with scans pleasingly clearing any bone damage.
“In the fourth quarter of the game, James was involved in a contest and landed awkwardly, which caused him to injure his ankle,” Bulldogs Head of Sports Medicine Chris Bell said.
“Scans have cleared any bone damage, and we are working around the clock to improve the pain and swelling associated with this injury.
“We will look to make a call on his availability during our main training session on Wednesday.”
Arthur Jones will also be tested this week, while James Harmes has returned to availability.
“Harmesy missed 10 days of training after being struck down with the flu,” Bell said.
“He was back into full training last week, but didn’t play on the weekend with us opting to get a good quality match simulation training session under his belt. His name will be back up for selection this week.
“Arty has progressed well in his rehab following his over-stretching hamstring injury.
“He has built some continuity within our full training model and has ticked all our key boxes.
“If he gets through training this week like I expect, he will return to availability.”
Harvey Gallagher (foot) has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
